I think the delay is because the Democrat team is still trying to convince/coach/encourage/bribe a former H.S. friend to testify.
Their goal is not to put him him prison, it’s to keep him out of the USSC. All they want is to start the investigation. That’s all that’s needed to keep him out of the USSC. You know, they already tried to get the FBI to investigate so she is not concerned about a lawsuit. She probably has a false sense of security knowing she’s got good lawyers working for her. They seem to be good enough to halt the Judge’s vote.
