Rochester, N.Y., resident Herbert Smith wasnt aware of the controversy he was about to create when he was moved to post a photo of a local bars dress code to his Facebook page. But since he took to social media to share the long list of items that cant be worn inside the Murphys Law Irish Pub in his neighborhood, some people are calling out the bar for enforcing a racist dress code.
While making plans with a friend to meet up at a nearby bar, Smith received a picture of the questionable dress code posted in the front window of Murphys Law. He tells Yahoo Lifestyle that it immediately struck a chord. Although he wasnt entirely sure what to think about it, he decided to call attention to it.
I post a lot of stuff on Facebook, so I thought a few of my friends would chime in, he says. But what happened next I was not expecting. ...

Looks like an “Equal Opportunity” dress code - half applies to the ‘Bros from da’ Hood’ (and perhaps a few Latinos) and half to Rednecks.

The ripped jeans applies to middle class, white young women——all the rage——they BUY them that way.

The name of the bar is “Murphy’s Law.” When you go into the bar the law is the law.
9. No Timberland boots of any kind"
Apparently they're racist against red necks too.
I'm very offended. I'ma sue
If I was black, I'd go there in a suit and order seltzer only, just to screw with them and not give them money.
Everybody's outraged all the time. Don't get mad, get annoying.
LOL! A Camo cami...
Have heard some pay more for those than ones not ripped?
See my post#43-——my granddaughters wear them.
.
I'd probably fit in there as I tend to be overly formal in my attire. I wear white T-shirts, but only as an undershirt. I would never go out in public with just an undershirt as a shirt. It may have worked for Stanley Kowalski, but not for me.
Blacks wear Timberland work boots?
They added camo, so no racism. Clean your sh!t up and you can come in. Nobody wants to see you wearing your pants below your butt. I wouldn’t allow people dressed like that in no matter what their color.
I wear white t-shirts often, but they aren’t underwear. I’d be fine wearing a different colour.
Es un broma? How are my comfortable Timberland boots I wear to work and for hiking “racist”-obviously, they are too casual for wearing to a nice bar in NYC-but so is all the other apparel listed-I’m pretty sure the person who owns the business gets to set the dress code...
but no pants?
sounds like they are keeping out slobs of any race.
Apparently Timberline work boots are a gangsta thing. Supposedly because they are expensive and show how wealthy you are.
Guess nobody has ever read, “Little Red Riding Hood.”
