President Trump called the latest spending bill ridiculous while complaining about border wall funding Thursday morning and demanded Republicans finally get tough.
Mr. Trump demanded to know why border wall and security funds were left out of the newest bill, and how Congress planned on paying for it after the midterms. He also accused Democrats of obstructing law enforcement and border security.
Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump I want to know, where is the money for Border Security and the WALL in this ridiculous Spending Bill, and where will it come from after the Midterms? Dems are obstructing Law Enforcement and Border Security. REPUBLICANS MUST FINALLY GET TOUGH!

Good.
I’m getting the feeling there’s bipartisan foot dragging on our border wall. In other words, this is the uniparty in action.
Dear Mr. President....veto the bill.
to coin a phrase, he should say
Build The Wall.
and add to GOP “or else.”
They dont understand how the Constitution makes Congress the funding arm of our government. In short, such people are complete idiots.
I cant stand these Republicans in Congress. They are as stupid cba123.
The Republicans don’t want a wall or border security or interior enforcement.
Bush League Republicans must become extinct before the Republic does.
Veto and tell them he now wants 10 Billion.
If they screw that up veto and make it 20 Billion...
.
I have not forgotten his promise the last time he signed their lousy spending bill without wall funding - he said he was going to do it that time, but never again.
I hope he remembers that and I hope he sticks to it.
Close down the government, for all I care. We’re all better off without it anyway.
of course there is. With talk of a blue wave, the reps should have been pushing HARD, for the wall, for border funds. Instead all anyone says is, wait until after the midterms. Well if it’s a blue wave, why are we waiting? And if it’s a red wave instead, why wait at all? useless!!
“the Education Department was given approximately $71 billion”
That money should be zeroed out and transferred to the wall, border patrol, internal immigration enforcement, and deportations.
I have supported Donald Trump since before he even announced as a candidate, and I bought a bunch of stuff from his campaign office.
Voted for him too. One of 10,000 or so to put him over the top in our state.
I have supported Trump since very early.
But he does need to build the wall.
Now.
You promised a wall in this budget. Veto it.
LOL he also promised mexico would pay for it.
They probably will, eventually. In some way. But I dont think he actually promised that.
yes he did. Did you miss the hundred times he said it? It’s was the same speech at every campaign rally. How did you miss that. He also called hillary a criminal many times and he lets her walk free. Did you hear that during the campaign?
He could fund the wall with the military budget, it is a national security issue. He could have done it in January 2017. He also could have, at any point since, put public pressure on Congress, a la Reagan, to get it done.
I know this is highly controversial but I like the military angle as this is an invasion of enemy aliens, some armed, some gang members, none willing to assimilate. Sounds like a war effort to me. Its requires defense (a wall) at the least.
