On Tuesday morning, Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford's expected testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee was being called the most-anticipated event in Washington in decades. By Tuesday night, the whole thing appeared to be off.
Through it all, as Democrats scrambled and re-calibrated their position, Kavanaugh appeared extraordinarily confident.
Ford says that in 1982, when she was 15, a drunken 17-year-old Kavanaugh forced her onto a bed, tried to undress her, and covered her mouth with his hand at a high school party.
Ford revealed her identity in a Washington Post article Sunday. Democrats immediately began calling on Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, to schedule a hearing. Early Monday morning, Ford lawyer Debra Katz told CNN that Ford would appear if asked.
"Will your client, Christine Ford, be willing to testify in public to the Judiciary Committee?" asked anchor Alisyn Camerota.
"The answer is yes," said Katz.
Calls grew through the day for Grassley to agree to a hearing. Late Monday afternoon, the chairman said yes. Committee rules call for a week's notice for hearings, so Grassley said the panel would meet next Monday, Sept. 24, to hear from Ford and Kavanaugh.

If media organizations were smart, they'd go back to static ads placed strategically around the text. It used to work very well for newspapers. They way it is now, people use ad blockers and/or ignore the ads ... that is, if they don't get flustered and just leave the site.
I'll be looking for it, and won't be a bit surprised if it happens. In fact, I wouldn't consider a terrorist shooting beyond the pale for Democrats. And if I were Kavanaugh, I'd be very keen on personal security. They're that desperate.
But another crucial detail in this story: her lawyer said on live television that she would testify. No good lawyer would do that on their own responsibility which means that she must have lied to her lawyer. A classic way to cook your own goose.

I would propose that outsiders selected and are paying Ford after the existence of the letter was leaked by DiFi staff to democrat money sources that fund resistance efforts.

I would think that DC's inner circles aren't amused by this. How many of those students went on to be highly connected in DC and other positions of power? Do they seriously want HS rumors and fantasies by deranged classmates to be used against them? That's why I'm saying pictures of her released anonymously would be the best way to end character assassination by one's HS acquaintances.
I'm very sincere about this. The ONE group in my life among whom there'd be no such treachery is my HS friends and acquaintances! I honestly think we'd gang up on anyone who besmirched a classmate or someone in our circle.
I usually ‘get flustered and leave the site’; especially when also confronted with those ‘by continuing, you accept’ notices.
This is counterproductive for the sites that do these things. Your ads and content accomplish nothing, if people won’t stay on your site long enough to see them.
Remember, only a few years ago, this was a one way street. Old accusations were only used against Conservatives or Republicans.

How are you going to investigate something like this? She does not remember the day, month or year it happened. The other person(witness) she named categorically denies any such thing ever happened. Her recollection of the event keeps morphing. On top of that the crime does not fall under Federal jurisdiction so the FBI passed it off.
Hundreds of her schoolmates, including “Elaine” from Seinfeld are coming out in support of her. They believe her.
The libs support her, the conservatives support Kavanaugh.
Just like our elected leaders.

Kavanaugh is the only one in the conversation that has any integrity.

If justice is done, what they have designed for Judge Kavanaugh will come down on their own heads. That will require the involvement of the Supreme Creator of the Universe, but we can hope.
“Elaine” isn’t even a class mate. She just went to the same school a few years earlier. Probably doesn’t even know her. Its just a sorority sister thing.
