On Sunday, the country continued to absorb the loss of its greatest contemporary political figure a senator who will rank up there among Daniel Webster, Henry Clay and Everett Dirksen. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who passed away on Saturday, played three critical roles that are not easily filled international statesman, bipartisan dealmaker and reformer.
McCains knowledge of foreign policy and his international relationships with leaders, activists, military men, etc. surpassed virtually all the presidents who held office during his more than 35 years in Congress. He was one of only a handful of senators who arguably cared more about foreign than domestic policies, and was willing to expend unlimited time and political capital in defense of American security and values.

I know, I don’t listen anymore and also the reason
Mark Levin took over his time slot and is kicking ass.
“Why no one in the Senate can fill the void left by John McCain”
Someone will try and fill the void of blocking repeal of McCaincare.
Because there’s no possibility of finding an asshole traitor his equal?
Amen...
I almost expect forced crying events like in NK when Kim croaked...
I will not dance on his grave, but I am glad that the likes of him and Kennedy are gone from us. Many more need to go and I am sickened by the attitude of those there in the Senate that they think they are to rule for life.
He filled a much needed gap.
You can tell much by the gallery of America hating leftists who are mourning McTraitor checking out. They have lost one of their best weapons.

They are a dime a dozen. But getting them elected is getting harder and more expensive.
The leftists (including the faux-conservative Rubin) cannot retroactively transform the late John McCain into a great Senator, but they won’t fail through lack of effort.
Jennifer Rubin’s head is up her void. As usual.
As in Campaign Finance Reform. As in, blatant violation of the First Amendment.McCain-Feingold should be tested again ASAP. McConnell v. FEC was a wrongly decided (IMHO) 5-4 decision, and only two (Breyer and Ginzberg) of the majority in that case - and FTM only one in the minority (Thomas) still sit on SCOTUS.
No one can fill a diaper like mcstain did.
Thank God that “nobody can fill the void left by McCain”.
+++++++
What is the WP thinking? Almost any Trump-Hating Democrat could do the job. Fortunately thats not going to happen.
The RINO is plentiful. What you describe is more rare than a paisley unicorn.
The MSM and the Swamp are overdoing it again and making a saint of this sellout.
They will soon bury McCain and forget him. The circus is irritating but will be over soon.
meh
He wasnt in the senate for the past two years.
Senators and Representatives grow less colorful year by year.
Everybody is more guarded, except the ones who are absolute idiots.
But then again, everybody in Washington is an idiot at one point or another: they will all say something stupid if they think it will get them votes.
McCain, though, like some other old-timers, could really attract attention to himself.
That's not what Jennifer means, though.
If everyone loved John McCain so much, why didn’t he beat Barack Obunghole for the presidency? Sure, being white, he wasn’t nearly as qualified as the part-time senator from Illinois and long-time community organizer, but you’d think all these libs gushing about how heroic he was would have put aside their partisanship and voted for him anyway.
