President Trump put the kibosh on a White House statement that praised John McCain as a “hero” — and instead decided to issue a tweet that only mentioned the late senator’s family, a report said Sunday.

Trump didn’t like him. Hey, if Trump died first—what would McCain have said—Not Much. Glad Trump isn’t a phony political type. You know where you stand with Trump.

He offered his condolences to his family, that’s good enough and the acceptable minimum.
McCain is dead but his ego lives on.
I can only think of one heroic thing. He could have left the Hanoi Hilton because of Dad but chose not to. He knew he would be socially dead if he got out that way, so was it really heroic?

McCain will get unearned and uncalled for and almost obscene praise over the next week or two.
I can believe this story, but something about it strikes me as false ... or perhaps it was put out there to identify someone leaking to the media from inside the White House.

Wacko birds across the nation have somberly noted that the late Senator was indeed koo-koo for Cocoa Puffs. No Tea Party Hobbits could be reached for comment.
Isn’t there a judge somewhere that recognizes the President does not have this much power??? He said exactly what needed to be said.
