President Trump put the kibosh on a White House statement that praised John McCain as a hero and instead decided to issue a tweet that only mentioned the late senators family, a report said Sunday.

exactly, whatever he does will be spun negatively.
“so long it’s been good to know you”

Trump didn’t like him. Hey, if Trump died first—what would McCain have said—Not Much. Glad Trump isn’t a phony political type. You know where you stand with Trump.
What more can be said?
“They bitch either way, if he said something nice, they would accuse him of lying.”
It’s called gaslighting.
Good.
McCommunist was never a hero. Viva President Trump.
...according to The Washington Post....
He offered his condolences to his family, that’s good enough and the acceptable minimum.
McCain is dead but his ego lives on.
I can only think of one heroic thing. He could have left the Hanoi Hilton because of Dad but chose not to. He knew he would be socially dead if he got out that way, so was it really heroic?
Awesome. Standing strong against the people of the lie.
The cross country thing is a bit over the top, I think.
Perfect.
He shouldn’t praise him or take this time to denigrate him.
The family focused statement is all that was called for.
McCain will get unearned and uncalled for and almost obscene praise over the next week or two.
I can believe this story, but something about it strikes me as false ... or perhaps it was put out there to identify someone leaking to the media from inside the White House.
Here we go.
Just so you all know, this one is mine “eternal urinal christening ceremony”
My President!
Agree. His date with the afterlife has been going on for over a year.
Former Presidents Barack Obama, G. W. Bush, and the Witch King of Angmar are scheduled to deliver eulogies for Senator John McCain in the coming days. Wacko birds across the nation have somberly noted that the late Senator was indeed koo-koo for Cocoa Puffs. No Tea Party Hobbits could be reached for comment.
Isn’t there a judge somewhere that recognizes the President does not have this much power??? He said exactly what needed to be said.
