One word of unfavorable attitude toward persons of color and that’s the end of a professional career in entertainment or sports or journalism or politics if the person speaking is not a person of color.
Before 1776 kind words about King George and England were free speech and ok. Any criticism by Samuel Adams, Tom Paine,John Adams or others meant threat of the gallows or imprisonment. No free speech. Just like today.
