No its not silly, historically speaking today’s liberal fascists have a direct evolutionary connection to fascist movements out of previous history.
That’s why you can take history courses which study fascism.
One of the leading professors who teach the history of Fascism is Professor Emeritus Gilbert Allardyce. I am one of his honor students, having studied with him.
Fascism has two essential ingredients: Nationalism and Socialism.
In the liberal fascist form currently accosting America, the nationalism is one involving an alleged superiority of racial and ethnic minorities over the majority white population.
The Socialist aspect is revealed by a governmental approach which caters to racial and ethnic minorities, applying to them a different set of laws and government resources dedicated only to them.

I see it is imposable to continue a polite, informed discussion with you on this matter. Since this is exactly the argument that Antifa, the Anarchists, and the other anti-free speech organizations and individuals use to slander the free speech demonstrators and conservatives in general, I can only assume that you buy into that argument. Which by the same logic, implies that you agree, to some degree, with their other positions, including the proposition that it is acceptable to use violence to silence those with whom they disagree. I urge you to reconsider; don’t let the Leftists define the terms of the conflict!

Yes it was a bit convoluted, wasn’t it. Sorry. I wanted to say precisely what I meant, which made the qualifications kind of complicated.

IMO, terrorists and the Left do find logic and reason torturously painful, and facts and truth worse than water - boarding. It pains me more than you know to find that is also true of some of the persons who are, or claim to be, on our side.

There arew a couple of ways around that. This is one of them.

Take a flash-bang *distraction device* and wrap it with corrugated cardboard kept in place with a strip of duct tape or rubber bands. Use cardboard with corrugations large enough to insert small-headed finishing nails inside, then add another wrap of tape at the ends to keep the nails from coming out of their slots. If necessary, use two such nail wrappers, one at the top and the other at the bottom, in the event full-length nails aren't immediately available.
Nothing wrong with using frags, especially to get to the rear ranks where the commissars/leaders are usually situated. But my own plan is to wait until the ones with the molotov cocktails start pulling them out of their backpacks and sidebags, and toss an M34 white phos grenade or signal flare their way.
Your shooting should not be precise fire at individuals, unless you have enough advance intelligence to identify leaders and key personnel on sight. All you need is area fire against the mob as a mass, the better to scatter the group and let those of it wonder if they'll be next to receive a *to whom it may concern* notice, special delivery.
It's not likely that you'll encounter such an attack at random. But if you do, and if you do set them to running, don't stick around to see if they've stumbled into a kill box set up by those better prepared or with better local knowledge of terrain and cover than you, and maybe with enough lead time to have set up some Claymore surprises for their visitors. Just get out, and don't catch a cold on your way out.

You are quite correct. That's a pic of an IRA *nailie bomb* built to much cruder specifications than what I'd like. They made use of what was available, preferably untracable, as fit their clandestine circumstances.
Either will work, if it's all you've got.

Flash bangs don’t have enough explosive “oomph” to be used as a frag.
Somebody's using the wrong flashbangs. Easy to fix, a couple of different ways. even the Army/MP issue M84 will work with a little ['bout a quarter-pound] of Bullseye double-base powder added- the M84's charge is mainly magnesium. Or, instead of nails, use an incendiary gel; best served hot!
The Brit G60s work just fine with a nail *jacket* on, but my all-time fave is the old MK3A2- one-pounder, used by the Navy as a sort of mini-depth charge to discourage scuba divers.
