James E. Hansen wiped sweat from his brow. Outside it was a record-high 98 degrees on June 23, 1988, as the NASA scientist testified before the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources during a prolonged heat wave, which he decided to cast as a climate event of cosmic significance. He expressed to the senators his high degree of confidence in a cause-and-effect relationship between the greenhouse effect and observed warming.

I figured someone would post “This was already posted”. And the standard response, which is true, is that I did a search and didn’t find it.
I read it without a subscription.

Soylent Green started all the global warming crap.
Soylent Green was not really about global warming. It was based on a novella by Harry Harrison (author of the Stainless Steal Rat series) titled Make Room, Make Room. The basis for this story was over crowding of the planet by out of control birth rate. So yes, in a way it was based on another silly leftist alarmist propaganda point of the 60's -just not globull warming. I am not sure of Harry's political views, I am sure they lean left, but he had some good stories.

Soylent Green was an amazing movie despite being based on leftist “population bomb” hysteria.
It accurately portrayed a future government based on a series of “big lies”—definitely worth a watch if anyone has not seen it.

100% of the story is based on the models of the future. Every single model has been proven to be dramatically wrong.
The models hold the biggest impactor constant, the sun. Then they apply all the impact to the least impactor, CO2.
They are either really, really stupid or frauds. Or both.
