June 22 (UPI) — The European Union followed through Friday with new tariffs on more than $3 billion worth of imports from the United States, a response to steel and aluminum taxes set by President Donald Trump.

The 28-member bloc imposed a 25 percent tariff on about 200 American products, including steel, aluminum, corn, rice, orange juice, cigarettes, peanuts, cigars, T-shirts, cosmetics and clothing. A 10 percent tariff was also slapped on U.S.-made playing cards.

A 50 percent duty was leveraged on other select items like dishwashing machines, certain seagoing vessels and umbrellas.

This wouldn’t be the same EU that currently luxuriates in the American nuclear umbrella over it, along with tens of thousands of US troops defending it from...other Europeans?

Nothing will grind their NWO to a halt like economic warfare.

Trump once again proves his genius and love for patriotism

The European Union has filed a complaint with the World Trade Organization saying the Trump administration tariffs are “illegal”. The bloc also threatened a second round of tariffs on an additional $4.3 billion in U.S. products if the dispute isn’t resolved.

Canada has also threatened to impose retaliatory tariffs on $12.5 billion worth of U.S. exports, starting July 1. Mexico has taxed U.S. products like pork, steel, cheese and whiskey.

Trump nailed it. Let's see who blinks first.

Title doesn’t match article.

Title:
EU makes good on threat to tax $3.2B in U.S. exports

Article’s first line:
June 22 (UPI) — The European Union followed through Friday with new tariffs on more than $3 billion worth of imports from the United States...

So, they are adding a tariff to IMPORTS from the US, not taxing EXPORTS to the US.

People need to really get their heads straight on the difference between exports and imports.

Fake news only swallowed total idiots.

The value added taxes (by the way they are constructed) amount to tariffs, with hokey phraseology to keep people who are not terribly competent at rudimentary math from noticing that they are tariffs.

The European Union has had tariffs all along.

So they are protecting the German Orange Juice industry. It is just a tax on their own people. Every country is so upside down with us on trade that they have no chance in a so called trade war. Everything is just for show. It doesn’t impact Trump’s plan at all.

It is high time that these EU countries pay for the privilege on trade.

I don't think the billion of poverty-striken rice growers in China will be picking up the slack on Camembert.
