After canceling the comedy following star Roseanne Barr's racist tweet, the Disney-owned network has found a way to move forward with the original cast, creators and likely crew as 'The Conners.'
Weeks after its stunning decision to cancel Roseanne, ABC is officially moving forward with a spinoff of TV's current No. 1 series — without controversial star Roseanne Barr.
Following aggressive talks with exec producer Tom Werner, the Disney-owned broadcaster has handed out a 10-episode, straight-to-series order for Roseanne spinoff The Conners (working title). The new take, which will also be a multicamera comedy and premiere in the fall, will follow the Conner family who, after a sudden turn of events, are forced to face the daily struggles of life in Lanford in a way they never have before.

My thoughts also went straight back to 1977. Never missed Chico and the Man until Prinze’s death. It seemed so empty without him.
They should call it “The Forgettables”.

I hope Roseanne appears on FOX as an entirely new character with an entirely different family, all Trump / MAGA supporters.

"The Conners" premieres to great rating to quickly crash and burn as their normal lefty bias shines through following episodes and Disnay/ABC gets left holding the bag as Roseanne laughing, laughing, laughing, laughing all the way to the bank with her boat load of 'go-away' cash--

Roseanne without Roseanne? My primitive mind can’t grasp these concepts. But there is one thing I do know - when a woman like my client Roseanne gets her show stolen from her and Al Slim Shady Sharpton still has his show, then she is entitled to no less than 100 million in compensatory damages, and two hundred million in punitive damages. Thank you.

You didn’t miss much. The reboot was a parade of Liberal dysfunction & perversion.
I’ll give it one or two episodes, but I can’t help but think it’s going to turn into a Trump/Repub bashfest with even more of a platform for the LGBTQWGSBFYTEMK front.
I guess people dumb enough to believe a boy can become a girl are dumb enough to believe this show can work.
