It was the most damaging of all the damaging texts exchanged between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. On Aug. 8, 2016, in the second week of the Trump-Russia investigation on which both were working, Page texted Strzok to say, "[Trump's] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!" Strzok responded, "No. No he won't. We'll stop it."
The Justice Department gave Congress Page's "not ever going to become president" text months ago, when it produced thousands of texts to Hill investigators. But lawmakers — and the public — did not learn of the explosive second part of the exchange — Strzok's "We'll stop it" answer — until last Thursday, when Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz's report on the Clinton email investigation was released. The newly-revealed text was devastating on its face. But it also raised eyebrows among Republicans who immediately asked why it had been not been turned over to lawmakers months ago.
"Why wasn't that given to Congress?" House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., asked on Fox News the day the Horowitz report was released. "Why did I find out about that today at noon?"

Hiding the most damning evidence is what crooked lawyers, officials, and street criminals do. It’s simply how they operate.

Rosenstein and Horowitz are protecting Obama and the deep state. Rosenstein will do all he can to prevent the indictment of Comey. Comey is the weak link and linchpin. He is psychologically the most vulnerable and will talk especially if he faces serious jail time. Then and only then will the vile Obama plot to subvert American democracy be revealed to the American people. They need to know the truth.
Yes, and I am sure there is proof of further crimes that have been committed which is why Rosenweasel tried to intimidate Nunes, et al, in January! Rat in a corner!

This is WONDERFUL! Strzok, Page, Hillary, Wiener, Huma, Comey, McCabe and the like are all involved.
Each will begin singing to protect themselves from prison time. The biggest criminal political conspiracy this country has ever faced.

And recall that they refused to turn over their personal phones to the IG, the use of which is referenced many, many times in the text messages, and simply told them there were no business related messages on them.
IG has no subpoena power so they could not be forced to surrender them. An HONEST and professional DOJ/FBI would get a court order or a grand jury subpoena for them...but that doesn't exist anymore.
Aren't there like a critical 5 months worth of Strzok's texts and emails "lost" because of a technical glitch in archiving them?
Lost and hidden texts and emails are never important.
You know they are only about his daughter's wedding plans and yoga positions.

I’d like to know how many other texts were missing. So they had an original list of thousands of texts from that period. Now they have this missing text. Was this the only one missing out of thousands?
I’d love to see a side-by-side comparison of the original trove of messages made available months ago compared to the messages available after the “4th round” thanks to the DoD assistance. If the only delta between the two is the smoking gun text, then this topic should go to the top of the news stack for Hannity and Rush.
