It took the Army wimps long enough to do it.

Pendejo - ever hear about Cackstro’s fellow revolutionary Camilo Cienfuegos? Blown out of the sky because he was getting too popular.

Huber Matos? Wires inserted through his genitals and imprisoned because he expressed doubts about the revolution’s changed direction after Batista was defeated.

The stupid pr!ck should be deported to Venezuela.

So he didn't get away with it after all

Depends on how you look at it. He got a very excellent and expensive university education for virtually no charge. That may have been his goal all along?

Rapone got himself a free college education @ West Point on the taxpayer’s dime which cost him only about 2 years of active duty. Yes, the OTH discharge is going to follow him.

There needs to be a general investigation of the admission criteria at the service academies, the honor systems, the professors. People that encouraged or recommended Rapone need to be punished. Those that looked the other way need to some sort of official warning.

They will likely go after him for tuition costs.

I believe that Rapone was prior-enlisted before being admitted to West Point. Which makes you wonder how he got recommended in the first place. I could see a naive high school kid sliding through the nominating process with a socialist-leaning congressman handing him a nomination. But somebody who has already served & been evaluated?

Why did it take a year? He should have been dumped the day the picture was taken.

Read the article.

Greg Rinckey, an attorney specializing in military law, claimed that this opens an opportunity for the military to seek money back from Rapone for the education he received as he didn’t fulfil the five-year service obligation for all the graduates.

He looks like a young John Kerry, no surprise that he acts like him too.

They will likely go after him for tuition costs.

The article said that they might be able to. Far from a done deal.

Forced to serve as a private ?

Don't think so. That's too easy, and the others serving with him shouldn't have to put up with him (I was an E-1 once).

Throw him in the stockade for two years of hard labor!

He is no longer part of the U.S. military after top brass at Fort Drum’s 10th Mountain Division accepted his resignation Monday after an earlier warning for “conduct unbecoming of an officer.” He’s leaving the military with an other-than-honorable discharge.

He'll either end up living in a cardboard box, or get his Ph.D. and have a long career as a tenured college professor.

Should have been sent to Afghanistan...then “fragged.”

Agreed.

The only downside is when he did get killed, there would be a huge crap storm about it.

Expelling him with a dishonorable would have been better.

Short of a court martial this is the worst type of punishment an officer can receive. It means no VA benefits and will look terrible on any job application.

LOL. Being a martyr to “The Cause” may well have been his goal from the gitgo. He is not looking for a “job” in the conventional sense. He wants to be a professional activist/agitator. And I’m sure there is plenty of funding out there for him to do just that. He and David Hogg may form a tag team.
