Fathers Day fun turned into chaos at a New Jersey all-night arts festival when two gunman opened fire injuring over a dozen people, including a 13-year-old boy, early Sunday.
Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo Onofri said that 16 of the 20 people injured were treated for gunshot wounds, and that four, including the teen, were in critical condition.
One of the suspects, a 33-year-old man, was killed and the other was in custody.
The Art All Night festival in Trenton NJ., didnt appear to have been targeted and the shooting was prompted by a fight at the event, Onofri said.
About 1,000 people had been in the area for the 24-hour, free festival at the Roebling Wire Works Building, that showcases work by local artists, music and food.
As shots rang out at around 3 a.m., people started running in all directions.
Everybody was having a nice time. The next thing you know, there were gun shots. [I] got shot in the leg, fell on the ground and that was it, Irving Higginbotham, who was shot four times, told ABC6.
Angelo Nicolo, who was with his brother at the event, said he heard loud popping sounds and saw attendees running down the street.

New Jersey - Celebrating cultural art and “vibrancy” one fatality at a time.
[what the HELL is a 13 year old doing up and out at 3:00 AM]
Time is a “construct”
(grin)
I bet if you were creative with the wording on the application to the proper authority, you could get a government grant for the shooting as a Work of Art.
I used to work within a stones throw of this building and it isnt a bad neighborhood. Largely Italian but it did go downhill as you got closer to the train station.
Arts festival? You mean Hip Hop Party?
“multiple shooters” sounds like a gangster war erupted ...
I heard on the radio that it was a ‘mass’ shooting.
Gee, Joisey (sic) has some of the toughest gun laws in the country. Actually NJ restricts law abiding citizens from firearms while doing little to go after bad guys.
That is the funniest and truest thing I’ve ever seen posted about NJ!
Gotta stay open for the 'after the midnight basketball games' crowd.
Well, he probably works "third-shift" at his, you-know, "job".
Certain occupations only work when most people are asleep.
LOL.
This is why I moved from a suburb of Trenton, NJ over two years ago. I wish my kids would do the same ASAP.
“Dis art so good, I gotta bust me some caps!”
