On the road I’m happy with Home2Suites or Best Western

Spring Hill suites is ok too and Drury Inn

I won’t stay Motel 6 or Red Roof or Kinights Inn or Super 8 or Days Inn or Best Value unless there are no rooms

I agree.

I usually stay at Days Inn or someplace similar. Once, I was taking a road trip with my son, and we stopped at a very nice luxury resort. I didn’t think we would be able to afford it, but I asked if they had a military discount. The price they quoted was only $10 more than the nearby Days Inn. So that one night, we stayed in style.

The one time I stayed at a Motel 6 (many years ago) I recall hearing what sounded like a pimp screaming at his girl all night through the paper-thin walls.

Never again. 3 stars, absolute minimum (preferably 4 or 5).
