Top Republican lawmakers are becoming increasingly vocal about ending special counsel Robert Muellers federal probe into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
They ought to wrap it up. Its gone on seemingly forever and I dont know how much more they think they can find out, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Thursday, according to the Washington Examiner.
It has got to stop, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy told Fox News about Meullers investigation.
House speaker Paul Ryan wants to see it get wrapped up.
I think Director Mueller would be well advised to wrap up his investigation, Republican Texas Sen. John Cornyn told reporters this week.
Unless Mueller wants to be the main focal point of the midterm election, which again is not something the Department of Justice or FBI should be doing, then I think he needs to wrap it up, Cornyn continued.
Republican South Dakota Sen. John Thune told Fox News last month that its time for them to begin winding this down.

Have they finally accepted Trump? Sounds like it.
Just pull the funding on Muellers inquisition.
What the f*ck are the idiots waiting for?
Mule face needs to be removed by US marshals and imprisoned for theft of government funds. DISBAND THE FIB!!
Nice to hear. But. These cowards and Chamber of Commerce prostitutes will only move positively when an IG report comes out to give them cover.
Even Linda Graham (the new Lion of The Senate now that McCain is fading out) was telling Bob Mueller to put up or shut up.
Gotta wonder if this gives Trump some leeway should he fire Mueller.
Yep.
No dough, they go.
.
resign Mueller and take your Dem mob with you.
lock them up.
14 Jun: Breitbart: IG Report: FBI Never Designated Hillary Clinton as Subject of Classified Email Probe
by Aaron Klein
NEW YORK The Justice Departments internal watchdog division documented in its report released today that the FBIs criminal investigation into Hillary Clintons misuse of her private email server never actually designated Clinton as a subject or target of the official probe.
This news comes even though former FBI Director James Comey described Clinton as the subject during his overview to the Justice Departments Office of the Inspector General, which released its 500-page report today. The report also documented how Comey and former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe were highly involved in overseeing the probe...
The report quotes Randall Coleman, the former assistant director of the FBIs Counterintelligence Division, as expressing shock that the FBI investigation remained designated as unknown subject(s), known within the FBI as UNSUB, even as it became clear the investigation started to focus on Clinton...

15 Jun: Breitbart: IG Report: Page, Strzok Bypassed FBI Chain of Command to Covertly Brief McCabe on Hillary Probe
by Aaron Klein
NEW YORK FBI witnesses speaking to the Justice Departments internal watchdog described an extraordinary system of communication set up between former deputy director Andrew McCabe and FBI official Lisa Page that bypassed the ordinary chain of command to communicate important information about the agencys probe of Hillary Clintons email server.
The method of communication involved FBI official Peter Strzok, who was romantically involved with Page, sending information on the Clinton probe to McCabe through Page, the report found...

I think the IG report is making the difference.
They’ll always hate Trump.
Sam and Dave agree.
Is this fake news? I haven’t heard one of them say that publicly.
lock them up.
14 Jun: Weekly Standard: Meet the Other Amorous FBI Staffers Who Texted About the Clinton Email Investigation
by Eric Felten
Perhaps the most shocking information in the IGs report is the revelation that Lisa Page and Peter Strzok were not the only amorous agents with a habit of texting. There were also Agent 1 and Agent 5, who were involved in the Clinton investigation and, according to the IGs report were in a relationship at the time and are now married. Their communications make for a searing indictment of the culture of the FBI and paint a portrait of the investigation into Hillary Clintons email practices as fiasco...

Nonway. Its got to be that either the thing is about to get very ugly, Trump let them run it out, called their bluff, or ... Wel that would be the reason
They hate Trump. They hate their base, Trump supporters. They hate that we put them into the majority, they were so fatn happy sitting back, no committee to chair, collecting lobby dough, promoting the invasion
No. They have no intention of taking care of the country.
This is about shutting things down
Aaaahh, they speak with the power of ... gentle suggestions...? Wow, that’ll really scare Mueller.
There are hot links to the interview sources in the original at The Daily Caller.
I take this as good sign. These guys would turn on Trump in a second if they thought they could get away with it.
The fact that they are falling in line means they are feeling heat from somewhere.
My sense is that in the last 90 days there has been a significant shift from “protect Mulehead” to “Mulehead is hurting us, BIGLY.”
As election starts to approach, GOP politicians once again pretend to have spines.
That is all well and good.
But I’m waiting for top Republicans to tell Mueller something a little more...colorful.
Any one notice that when Trump has a good week, like the summit, etc, Mueller has to reveal his ugly head? It is like everything is timed with the news cycle. I never seen an investigation operate like this.
