Canada has an across the board 30% tariff on all trade goods by devaluation of their currency.
I blame the Clinton's and the Bush family for this in regards to the presidency. I look at Obama as just shill for both families allowing them to exploit the trade situation.....in the senate you have both McCain and Pelosi crooked as you can get

Our leaders were so PAID OFF for 50 years to sell out America on trade and the cheap labor express. That’s how they amassed such tremendous wealth on government salaries. The Clintons, Obama and McCain didn’t invent it, but they have perfected the Art of the Sell Out.
I don’t know who is really ahead or behind in terms of NAFTA, there are irritants on both sides so any new deal would probably need to address all of those. If we just scrap NAFTA and also bilateral US-Canada trade deals, we would likely go into full protectionist mode on both sides and that could be lose-lose. Meanwhile, all western countries are taking a beating in their trade relations with China as cheap Chinese goods flood into our markets, but as long as people want to save a few bucks by buying them that will continue due to political pressure.
I hope Trump has a successful meeting with the North Korean nutbar, perhaps he could offer him free counselling sessions.
One of his best pressers by far - I laughed a few times. He appears to be at the top of his game and the really funny thing is that the MSM tried to beat him down before and during the G7 telling us the other 6 were mad at Trump. Trump looked pleased and content - not the least bit flustered.
I am paraphrasing, but he basically told them all “we don’t need you nearly as much as you need us”
