” Politics aside, I always enjoyed his books and found him entertaining. Leaves behind an 11 year old daughter. That’s what I find unforgivable.
Agree in FULL! Ms Spade left behind a 13yo daughter and my comment on a different site was that a child at that age almost always blames themselves for their parents suicide. It will require a LOT of support from the remaining family, friends and professionals to handle that undeserved ‘guilt’!

You just know that there will be a ‘retrospective’ and/or ‘tribute’ show(s) on Mr Bourdain in the coming weeks/months. Failure of these shows to mention the suicide ending would be a public disservice. Suicide is a SIN against the survivors and needs to make clear why it is not an acceptable ending! “

Bears repeating -

Let’s pray the message gets through to anyone having such thoughts...

Oh, not over a girlfriend! Oh dear. Well, maybe it’s quite complicated (drugs or depression).

It’ll be fun to compare THIS THREAD with the indignation that will be expressed about liberal reaction to Krauthammer’s announcement.

>>As is always the case, sadly. Free Republic used to be a lot classier.

Back when McCain and Romney were our best shot at MAGA?? Back when we cheered every time a company moved it’s operations overseas to boost stock value for a quarter or two?

A dead Progressive is one we don’t have to shoot in the Civil War that they will start.

Bourdain a fragile drug addled soul. Anyone think the “Girlfriend” put him over the edge?

Linked above are Pics of hardly plutonic friends. I don’t swap spit on the same bottle of water as a friend. And that hug, um Ok how long before those two hit the bedroom? Nice.

"Remember: CNN host Anthony Bourdain says he would poison Trump if he had to cook for him."

TMZ: What would you serve Trump and Kim Jong-un?

Bourdain: Hemlock

Karma: Checkmate...

The culinary world is marketing bullsht. Pliable people getting suckered by smarmy salesmen. If you want good food, find a grandma with old family recipes. It’ll be cheap, sweet, and rich.

This guy was a bitter, cynical person. He operated on the decadent side of the equation. He made his money by shocking people with crudity, and insults — shame on him, and shame on the people who were entertained by him.

A burden has been lifted from the builders of refined society.

Just a follow up, Bourdain planted his “flag” with a Girlfriend 20 years his Junior. His fragile psyche couldn’t process that it would end bad.

Well the “girlfriend” upon further research had herself planted with an Italian flag 14 years her Junior. That would drive some sane men to suicide. No accident, no surprise.

He was raped in a Russian prison; if aids is the cause, that’s the place.

Your post here sounds almost exactly like the arguments the Anti-fa terrorists use when they beat up political opponents and wish them dead, even down to the trite Nazi jab.

Your earlier post too was actually pretty silly equating celebrating someone’s death with actual soldiers putting their lives on the line and fighting for our cause. It sounded to me like a grandiose, self-important excuse to act trashy and immoral and pretend that it’s actually being strong and fighting back (LOL), when it’s really nothing more than preaching safely to the choir while actually doing nothing.

(Unless scaring people away from our cause who are on our side for moral reasons and don’t want to drop as low as the Dems counts as “fighting back”—or by some bizarre “logic” do you really think celebrating our opponents’ deaths is somehow a way to win politically rather than just childish vindictiveness?).

You might be right. He was terrible with women. It appears his second wife used him to get what she wanted and is now setup in NYC with a kid. If he had stayed with his first homely wife he’d still be alive.

Yeah, she strikes me as...odd and angry.

Is it a guess that he called her on it somehow known? He had dinner with Eric Ripert first and went up to his room afterwards I think.

I don’t know why, but his suicide seems off, somehow. But I’m not buying it’s murder either. Just seems bizarre. But suicide always does.
