Anthony Bourdain, a gifted storyteller and writer who took CNN viewers around the world, has died. He was 61. CNN confirmed Bourdain's death on Friday and said the cause of death was suicide.

Bourdain struggled with drug addiction years ago. His personality was consistent with what in AA is described as a “dry drunk.”

I enjoyed Kitchen Confidential as well. It started me thinking about food and restaurants.
I enjoyed a few of his shows and looking at global food and food right here in the US.
That said, however, he seemed like a terrible person. I’m sorry he did this to himself. Another person, like Kate Spade, who seemingly had it all, and it wasn’t enough to get through whatever mental problems they had.
Very sad to hear. Suicide is never the answer.
Watched him until I became clear he was a liberal democrat who couild not keep his liberal Horses#it to himself!!!

Enjoyed his comments on food and local culture. He traveled to parts of the world that did not get much coverage on other travel and food shows. His snarky comments on politics and people were worthless leftist drivel. RIP.

Actually, I couldn’t give a flying fox if some CNN anti-Trump asshole offed himself. I would be even more delighted if the rest of the anti-American worms at CNN followed suit. Who knows? It might even start a trend among the left.
