This “pope-in-name-only” grants regional indulgences for a catholic conference attendees going to Dublin IMMEDIATELY after Ireland (Dublin!) voted for abortion.
Seems we have seen indulgences “sold” for worldly events before: contributing to cathedrals, going on Crusades, giving to the bishops .....
But never a word of disgust nor condemnation for Ireland from this socialist piece of propaganda.

Indulgences do not have anything to do with the forgiveness of sins, let alone salvation per se.
Per Catholic doctrine, you can neither receive an indulgence nor benefit from one if you are not already in a state of grace. In other words, an indulgence is to an "unsaved" person as... umm...lemme see... as a scissors is to a caterpillar.
Sump'n like that.
Bottom line: don't get your theology from BBC.

Honest question: If I am in a state of grace (if I am saved) then what does an indulgence do for me?
If what you claim is true, what's the purpose of indulgences... ? Purgatory is punishment, if your sins are forgiven, why are the Catholics being punished
If Roman Catholics believe this, then the concept of purgatory and the indulgences are a false teaching.
As would be the false teaching of wearing a piece of cloth or medal to avoid the hell-fire.
