New California Law Limits How Much Water People Can Use

There will soon be more focus on flushes and scrutiny over showers with a new law signed in by the governor.

California is now the first state in the nation to enact tough new water-efficiency standards. The controversial rules limit how many gallons a person can use inside their home per day.

“So that everyone in California is at least integrating efficiency into our preparations for climate change,” said Felicia Marcus, Chair of the State Water Resources Control Board.

So, what are the new rules?

In 2022, the new indoor water standard will be 55 gallons per person, per day. by 2030, it will fall to 50 gallons.

“With a child and every day having to wash clothes, that’s, just my opinion, not feasible. But I get it and I understand that we’re trying to preserve…but 55 gallons a day?” said Tanya Allen, who has a 4-year-old daughter.

Just how many gallons do household chores take?

An 8-minute shower uses about 17 gallons of water, a load of laundry up to 40, and a bathtub can hold 80 to 100 gallons of water.

“She likes to bathe three times a day and she does laundry all day,” said Rocka Mitchell from Texas.

He and his wife Ginger are living in Sacramento for work and say it would be hard to conserve.

“I couldn’t do it. My family is way too large,” she said.

Retrofitting homes with water-efficient fixtures could help cut back.

#6. Sheryl Crow (who I like as a singer), is still trying to get her finger out of her butt.

Re the gallons per shower. Take a 4-5 minute shower. You shampoo your head immediately and then wash the body with a bar of soap. All off in less than 5 minutes. Plus most new shower heads have limits of GPM - known as watersaver heads, toilets, faucets, etc. I used to sell them when they first came out.

Advise to non-Californians. Keep you old shower heads. They work better than much of the newer crap.

Shower together - Husband and wife, Wife and daughter, etc. Dogs and cats showering together!!

An old simple but true method of saving water - pee in the shower while washing. It’s all going down the same drain pipes. Saves a lot of water over time.

Tell your politicians to go to hell and then vote them there!

Wouldn’t they get 110 gallons a day?

Or is California again suggesting that small children aren’t really living beings?

Once Sharia Law is imposed, you won’t even need/get a square of toilet paper.

And with the water accountability act, you won’t get a bidet either.

Take a “sea shower!” Navy and Coast Guard do just this.
Shower on for a minute to get wet. Turn shower off, soap up all that needs to be soaped, then rinse off. Saves a lot of fresh water that has to be made, by the ship, from salt water.

So much for the party that claims to care so much about privacy. Democrats will want to measure how much water you use, then toilet paper, then if you drink out of the carton.

If 99% of Californians were homeless the water goals could be met.

Meanwhile the elites could flush at will in their gated communities.

The dirtball politicians will figure this out....
