Yes, it's late May and it's still snowing in eastern Canada and more snow may fall this weekend in both Canada and the U.S.
An unusual out-of-season snowfall resulted in some unbelievable pictures in Newfoundland and New Brunswick this week. Although snow in May does happen here, this is a rare snowfall so late in May....

Shushhhh!! It’s called “climate change” now. Get with the program!!!!
I remember being at Ft Drum NY and seeing snow with the apple blossoms, and experienced the Oct 5th storm in Albany. You can’t control nature, it has a mind of it’s own, it just occurs like that every now and then.
Memorial weekend in TX will be a chilly 100 degrees.
If you are in this keep the snow off your tree limbs or the trees will lose a lot of leaves or even branches.
Global Warming is upsetting weather patterns, and so will actually cause cooling in some places. That little piece of nonsense is brought to your courtesy of the Union of Concerned Scientists.

I was there on my two week active duty (NJARNG) at the end of August one year and woke up to an inch of snow in the ground! Still in NJ but can say I don't miss Drum!
Snowing on Mount Rose NV right now.

In Canada, we have 9 months of winter and 3 months of bad skating.
The earth is currently in an ice age, with warm intermissions. A little carbon dioxide does not change that fact. Canada will go back to having a two mile thick ice sheet on it, like Greenland today. Most manmade Canadian infrastructure will be destroyed.
Ah, the Union of Concerned Scientists.....you can become a Concerned Scientist as long as you have a credit card.
Well, there’s nothing to worry about. These late winter (er, spring... Rather, mid-summer) snowfalls will soon become early fall snowfalls!

Not this year but Im in the Rockies in late May to mid June every year
Each year some pass is blocked by snow
Pearl pass nears aspen last year
Engineer year before
And glacier rarely opens before third week June
Didnt it snow in Denver las june
We are in a Grand Solar Minimum. A normal cycle occurring approximately every 206 years. We might be looking at this type of weather for decades to come - or not. It depends upon what the sun does, but if the last two minimums are any indication, the colder trends will last for decades.
I’m in Texas, and we experienced one of the coolest Aprils and Mays I can remember.
Just for my personal info, do youe expect the ‘18- 19 winter to have colder than average temps?
Here in the mountains of western North Carolina, many gardeners don’t get started until Memorial Day...just in case...ya never know.
