For one thing, there's still a good chance that North Korea will come back to the negotiating table. But even if they don't, look at what Trump got out of it, and then look at what Kim got out of it.
Instead of getting absolutely nothing, Trump still got three American hostages out of North Korea. He got the North Koreans to dismantle parts of their nuclear weapons program they even destroyed one of their testing sites hours before Trump canceled the meeting.
In exchange, unless you count halting military exercises with South Korea briefly, he gave up absolutely nothing.
All the economic sanctions that were in place before any talks began are still there. Did he ship them billions of dollars like the Obama administration did to Iran,Nope.
So, until North Korea actually gets something out of the U.S. for nothing, please, spare me of these hot "Trump got played" takes.

Methinks that the the Norks demolished their testing site some time back with their inept nuclear testing methods. They gave up something that was already worthless to them.
The only way the Norks are gonna give up their nukes is if we pry them from their charcoaled glowing hands.
Brett Baier just read a breaking report from Reuters that North Korea wants to continue discussions with the US. He said it sounds like a love letter in response to Trump’s decision to cancel.
I couldn’t find anything on line.
Same as will other commie and islamic countries.
The CommieCrats hate America, and will say anything to harm and disparage her best interests.
Trump has not been played. The vice foreign minister is quoted and sounds very conciliatory.
Its called The Art Of The Deal..President Trump is NOT going to lick Rocket Man’s ass like Obama/Kerry licked Iran’s ass and called it ice cream. Ever bought a car from a car dealership, you negotiate, or you walk away and watch the dealer say “Wait Wait come back we can talk”
President Trump hasn’t been “played” by anyone since he announced he was a candidate for President...
SEOUL (Reuters) - North Koreas vice foreign minister Kim Kye Gwan said the North is open to resolving issues with the United States whenever and however after U.S. President Donald Trump called off a June summit with its leader, Kim Jong Un.
We had set in high regards President Trumps efforts, unprecedented by any other president, to create a historic North Korea-U.S. summit, said the vice foreign minister in a statement released on Friday by the Norths central news agency.
We tell the United States once more that we are open to resolving problems at any time in any way, he said.
Thank you
There's nothing to talk about. Kim will never give up his nukes. He'd be dead in 6 months if he did. The only thing Trump can give Kim is a veneer of legitimacy by sitting at the same table with him.
I don’t think he got played. I’ve no doubt that the North Koreans didn’t expect this kind of reaction and they’re probably figuring out what to do next. The only fault I can see is not letting the Moon and the South Koreans know first - supposedly they found out about it on news broadcasts. You want to keep your opponents off guard but not your allies.
And it ain’t over yet.
I think Kim owes Pence a prolonged, groveling apology. What bad manners he showed.
I missed it. What did Rocket Man say to/about Pence?
One of his mouthpieces called Pence a “political dummy”. Not very diplomatic.
They hate Pence because he is a Christian. They persecute them and send them to prison camps. Dear Eater will get his deserved karma one way or another, sooner or later.
