Billionaire Meg Whitman, who was the Republican nominee for California governor in 2010 and lost to Jerry Brown, is backing Democrat Antonio Villaraigosa for governor in 2018. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, “Whitman, the billionaire former eBay CEO who spent $144 million of her own money on her failed run in 2010, is co-hosting a fundraiser Thursday night for Villaraigosa in Silicon Valley.”
A source close to Whitman told the Chronicle, “Meg has endorsed Antonio because, although she is a Republican, she believes he’s the best candidate for the job. Meg believes that Antonio is stronger than (Lt. Gov.) Gavin (Newsom) on both the economy and education, which are both important issues.”
Whitman is endorsing Villaraigosa likely knowing full well that if he places second in the June 5 primary, he and Newsom — a fellow Democrat — will advance to the general election, with no Republican on the ballot.
That, in turn, analysts say, would put the Republican Party at greater risk of losing control of Congress, because fewer Republicans would turn out to vote, and Democrats would benefit in congressional races throughout the state.

There are two Republicans running. Cox, a “never trumper” swamp Republican who voted for Gary Johnson but is Pro Life and was for some reason endorsed by Trump, and Travis Allen, a guy who is much more vocal and conservative and a Trump-supporting Republican through and through, but is Pro Choice. It’s the wild west out here!
Yes, John Cox, another “hold your nose and toe the party line” guy, who, if elected, would betray Republican voters. But, if he got onto the ballot, it might help with congressional races. No one likes Cox, he’s given money to Soros, helped Pelosi, is open borders, and a sellout for sure, BUT he has a chance at getting on the ballot. It’s a cluster f*** of an election. Trump endorsed him I guess as a tactical move to retain House seats. Cox voted for Gary Johnson over Trump, so his judgment is clearly bad!

Fortunately the California electorate seems to know this as well, as Tony Vivalaraza is running 3rd, which is real important in California.
Because here in commie occupied California only the top 2 vote getters will be on the November ballot, and sometimes that’s 2 Democrats and 0 Republicans.
Of course then those Republicans are Meg Whitman or Neel Kashkari it makes no difference, since they may well be a worse option than the latino communists who now rule the state.

Yep, statewide the GOP is dead here. The real contest is between la Raza and white leftists.
I have friends trying to get me to support one or the other Republican in the race but, I keep telling them it is a waste of time, money and resources.
Let’s focus on where we can win, in other states and races.
