If you signed some sort of non-disclosure agreement, you have to be subpoenaed to be able, legally, to tell what you know.

Supposedly the subpoena is needed so Fedzilla will cover any legal costs the agents incurs.

An NDA can’t be used to hide criminal conduct.

Heh, I am by no means an expert, but the way I saw this, any FBI, CIA, or DOJ employee who MIGHT want to tell their story are under duress (due to possibly being branded a whistleblower or a rat from their supervisors or colleagues and therefore vulnerable to getting retribution from their supervisor or group, etc) and as such they will NOT be “willing” or “voluntary” because of the impact it could have on their life and job.
But if someone walks into the office and serves them a subpoena...they have zero choice in the matter, and not only MUST appear, they will be compelled to speak truthfully, and their work situation will have no pathway to retribution.
At least that is the way I interpret the situation.

He doesnt want to be accused of disloyalty to the FBI. If he has no choice but to testify they cant accuse him.

An NDA can’t be used to hide criminal conduct. Except I'm pretty sure they do. (See: These Three Videos.)

Cant testify voluntarily. I wasn't referring to specifically this case. Generally, a witness does not need to be subpoenaed to testify if they willingly or voluntarily show up. I should have been more specific.

Yes thats true. These guys wanted the subpoena though.
To: Brilliant
Yep, and in this case I get what the subpoena is all about.
Btw, has anyone said how many FBI whistle-blowers want to come forward? I'm curious because there have been other offers to pay for their legal counsel. I would guess those offering to pay, must know how many desire to come forward. I can't imagine paying the legal fees for say, 24 agents etc.
Based on this, I would guess only a few have indicated their willing to step-up.

Personally I am very disappointed in the FBI rank and file. Where is Deep Throat? They dont seem too interested in spilling the beans.
To: Brilliant
If one of them had KO evidence, that would be a ticket to fame and fortune, which would come with the support of the President of the United States. And the fact that with or without a subpoena/protection, deep state could still try to kill a whistle-blower. Personally I'd jump on it to be the first to come forward to blow the doors off these evil corrupt SOBs. And for me it wouldn't be for fame or fortune.☺ It would be 100% pay-back/vengeance. Fortune would just be a icing on the cake.☺ Anyway, lets hope they get the subpoenas out fast so we can see what they have.
