It’s simple. Whites don’t want to be oppressed by racial ideologies.
Such whites believe the mantra of the Democrats watching over “the common man.”
Red voters are flocking to the new democrat party and
Rainbow voters are still totally over the bridge for dems.
I’m confused.
I thought Republicans supported the Civil Rights Act.
I also thought a lot of old school union Democrats, like my dad, felt that the party left them. They didn’t leave the party.
At this point I can’t understand why ANY straight white males, especially Christian, would be interested in their platform - it does not want them!
Amazing how many people don't pick up on this like you have. White Protestant culture is very individualistic. Even within the family, we tend to be formal and a little aloof. On the positive side, I think it is why we have accomplished so much. White parents tend to let their kids become whoever they're going to be. And in terms of society, we don't police each other. Weirdos and loners thrive in white society. Eccentricity is accepted. But the down side is, unless we have numbers on our side, or a very specific cause to rally around, we could be overrun by clannish hordes. I used to joke that the only way to get whites to riot is to first get them together at a concert or sporting event, THEN get them angry. It has to be in that order or you'll just get a lot of strongly-worded e-mails.
If you give white men a uniform and official sanction they will kill everything that moves.

I see this BS constantly from Leftists. Notice how they try to excuse away their own alienating of White Southerners as being due to the favorite of all Leftist accusations, Racism! Uhh no. The reason you lost support among Southern Whites was that you drifted ever more leftward despite the fact that White Southerners have never been Leftists. They revere the Founders and are instinctively conservative right down to their bones.....and having been on the receiving end of some very oppressive treatment by the federal government, they are really not inclined to trust it.
So...do you Democrats, the party that had been in a dominant position in Dixie for over 100 years take note of this and put the brakes on that leftward drift? Why....no! Of course not! You just keep going - and try to centralize all power in Washington DC. Then you insult White Southerners for not supporting you. At that point, you could kiss them goodbye.
Now White non left coast Westerners and working class White voters in much of the Midwest have also figured out you have nothing but contempt for them too. Oh wait. Let me guess. Your excuse for this will be “racism!” too. Go ahead. See where that gets you.
Bingo. They can’t seem to figure out that insulting anybody White who dares question them or disagree with them about any issue is not a good strategy for winning that person’s vote back. Ever.
The average white voter, no matter how left-wing, is starting to see that non-white Democrats don't like white people. Over time, survival overcomes ideology.

The demoncrats fought hammer and sickle against that Act...Since it was only passed thanks to strong GOP support, it should mean that whiteys should have been leaving the GOP...
