I don't see how Giuliani could possibly replace Sessions even if he was 20 years younger. Giuliani seems to have a clear conflict of interest, as President Trump's personal lawyer, that would prevent him from taking on the AG post.

This is what Trump understands and why Rudy Giuliani was brought on board.

Actually, I think Giuliani was brought on board for other reasons. I suspect we're going to start hearing some interesting stories about the relationship between Trump and Giuliani that would explain why Giuliani wasn't even a contender for the AG post in the first place back in November-December 2016.
