Joe DiGenova: Frustrated President May Fire 'Clowns' Sessions and Rosenstein
PJ Media ^ | MAY 17, 2018 | DEBRA HEINE

Posted on 05/18/2018 11:40:08 AM PDT by xzins

Attorney Joe diGenova predicted that both Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions' days are numbered at the Department of Justice during a telephone interview with Newsmax's Howie Carr Wednesday. DiGenova's claim came after the New York Times published a report titled "Code Name Crossfire Hurricane: The Secret Origins of the Trump Investigation". The report has been interpreted by many as an attempt by sources within the "Deep State" to cushion the blow of the imminent DOJ inspector general report, which is expected to be explosive.

In March, President Trump considered adding diGenova and his wife Victoria Toensing to his legal team, but conflicts of interest reportedly prevented him from hiring them. The attorney is still in contact with Trump, and told Carr that "the president has had it up to his scuppers with these clowns."

Buried deep within the NYT report is the bombshell revelation that Obama's FBI spied on the Trump campaign with covert "informants" (read "spies," or "moles") and electronic surveillance during the 2016 election. Also, contrary to the NYT's previous reporting, the article revealed that the spying did not begin with either Carter Page's interactions with Russians or George Papadopoulos's drunken conversation with Australian ambassador Alexander Downer in London. The spying began before that.

"Let me just tell you something," diGenova began. "My whole body just absolutely convulses when I listen to the idiots on national television who dare to suggest that those of us who believe that there was a brazen plot to exonerate Hillary Clinton illegally, and then if she lost to frame Donald Trump, to suggest that we are -- quote -- conspiracy theorists. I gladly say that I am. The only difference is I have evidence to substantiate the conspiracy."

He added: "If I were still a U.S. attorney, I would have an indictment of about nine different people in three days on the facts that are readily available on the public record."

DiGenova told Carr that Brennan, Comey, and Clapper, as well as six other people in the hierarchy of DOJ and FBI in the Obama administration, need to lawyer up. He predicted at the end of the interview that Brennan would have to face a grand jury. "Whether or not he ever goes to prison, I don't know, but this is for certain -- he should," DiGenova said, calling Obama's spy chief "the worst of the bunch" and "an evil man."

"This notion in the NYT that they had some serious evidence against Trump!" diGenova scoffed. "What they're doing now is they are trying to protect the informant, the spy, the agent provocateur ... who was planting false evidence with two people, Carter Page and George Papadopoulos, so that they would repeat it and then the FBI could pretend to pick it up and then use it to get FISA warrants," he explained.

"This is so sinister, so treacherous, so inconsistent, and so un-American that any Democrat, who like this idiot Adam Schiff from California, who pretends to believe that the FBI was acting properly in this, is a moron. A purposeful moron!" diGenova exclaimed. "They're beyond the 'useful idiots' that the Communists used to use."

The former federal prosecutor had advice for the attorney general on how to handle the FBI sources who leaked to the Times.

"Now if Jeff Sessions is a good little boy and knows his job, what he does this afternoon is he grabs little Rod Rosenstein -- Frankenstein's monster -- by the scruff of the neck, and he says, 'look you S.O.B., you get a frickin' grand jury right now and get a subpoena to everybody at the senior levels of the FBI and former senior FBI officials, put them in the grand jury and you ask them, who talked to the New York Times?'" he advised. "That's what you do if you're a real cop -- and I don't think Sessions is," he added.

DiGenova explained that the whole point of the Comey/Clapper/Brennan operation was to ruin Trump's presidential bid and if that failed, to ruin his presidency. He expressed frustration that Sessions has been unable to see through what he called "a coup d'etat."

"If he can't see that, he's not competent to be attorney general!" he exclaimed. "He hasn't recused himself from understanding that a presidency is being assaulted illegitimately by Mueller and by current and former people in the FBI and the intelligence community."

DiGenova warned that Sessions is on thin ice with the president and his days may be numbered. "If it comes out that Jeff Sessions has not authorized a grand jury into all those unmaskings, all those leaks, ... and Ben Rhodes and John Brennan and James Clapper have not been authorized for subpoenas, ... if he has not authorized that, he's going to be fired," he predicted.

The reason he knew that, DiGenova said, was that both Rosenstein and Sessions had been to the White House twice in the past two weeks to meet with White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, and they were told their jobs were "not secure."

"The president has had it up to his scuppers with these clowns and he has every right in the world to be furious with the incompetence of the Department of Justice under Rosenstein and Sessions," diGenova explained, adding, "I have been told that by people who know."

"I’m very disappointed in Sessions ignoring all the
blatant criminality of high government officials.
What’s going on with that?"

Sessions is either "Deep State" and is betraying the President,
or the Dems and the "Deep State" traitors in government
have some pretty compromising info on Sessions and are
blackmailing him into inaction.
Consider: What does the public really know about Sessions?

That's because Rosey doesn't work for Trump, he works for his masters in the deep state. He only cares whether they are mad at him, not Trump. If Trump fires him, he'll just make millions on a book deal and then get hired by a big law firm.

If anybody dares to suggest this is all ‘kabuki,’ we will know that Q-derangement syndrome is incurable.

I’ve loved this guy since the Clinton days. During that time, I once saw him and his wife in a hotel dining room in Sicily. I so wanted to go over and talk to him but we decided it might be impolite to interrupt their dinner. He’s great.

Letting the Sessions-rosenstein-mueller coup continue will guarantee impeachment...

If the Rats take the House, even by one seat,DJT will be impeached. If the President fires any of the main "investigators" he will be impeached. Those are the only two scenarios in which we'll see impeachment.

Hi Fantasy. Not seen you around in a while.

I wanted to believe Sessions was playing some kind of rope-a-dope, but I can’t get there anymore.

He’s either scared of his shadow, part of the coup, or amazingly incompetent.

Disinformation.

Sessions is quiet, and that is dangerous. Mueller is not-so-quietly running out of steam and options.

Almost everyone is in the kill zone now. The claymores pop before the mid-terms to rally the base.

Worse, waiting gives Mueller what he wants—the chance to release a damaging report right before the election to cause a change in the majority. That’s his game. He’s got whatever he wants to say ready to go now, it’s just too soon, because it will be debunked by November. He needs to release it at the end of October, and he needs to try to hang on til then.

It is basically the old GOP strategy of impressive talk on subjects upon which no effective action can or will be taken.

It’s not even that talk is cheap, talk is worth absolutely nothing.

I don’t agree with that, but if he doesn’t fire Mueller, then what he needs to do is issue an order to him, that no activities by the SC may be announced or become public, no reports filed, period, during the period August 15-November 10.

The difference is that it is well within Trump’s article 2 authority to FIRE Sessions-rosenstein-mueller.

Congress would have to invent a reason for impeachment instead of waiting for mueller to hand deliver it on a silver platter. See the difference?

You know, I have been thinking that way, but I noticed something.

Every time I think, OMG, they are on to something and it is going to be brutal for the President. And I agonize over it. They have tried the violent riots, demonstrations, student walk outs, insults, late night brutality and guess what?

It doesn’t seem to take and, indeed, it nine time out of ten blows back on them. Truth be told, I am amazed at the
President seems to rise above it and, astonishingly, more and more republicans are finding their spines.

“Since the election, Levin has been solidly in President Trump’s corner.”

That’s not what I heard when I caught his show a few minutes worth. He would bash Trump as much as any other lefty then claim it was his right to support Trump but to question him. That was total BS since his questions were left-wing crap he disguised as legitimate questions.

“What does the public really know about Sessions? “

That’s he an awesome American patriot who single-handedly stopped Shamnesty.
He’s not as well-known for being dubbed “The Silent Executioner.”

Joe diGenova is awesome and he dropped a bomb right on John Brennan’s head which of course is beyond awesome.

But Joe is playing a part and this kabuki theater is about to go bye bye. When it does, people are going to be shocked at the indictments and its growing list over not weeks or months but years.

Party is only about to get started. John Huber is a US Attorney with the power to indict, unlike the DOJ IG Michael Horowitz. AG Sessions did not bring Huber in to just read documents and keep Horowitz company.

All of which many of our FRiends here and elsewhere are about to find out.
2018 will be remembered as the Summer of Seditionist Indictments

Greetings to you also! The seemingly daily successes of the Mueller cabal have been weighing heavily on me. He has taken a wrecking ball to the finances of Trump’s supporters and associates. It’s like watching a fire ravage the best part of the countryside, and the guy in charge of the firemen—Sessions—won’t allow them to even start fighting it. Call it, frustration x1,000.
