. President Trump is making Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) a top target this fall, underlining his drive to protect the GOPs Senate majority even it if means going after a relatively friendly Democrat.
Trump told Republican senators in a closed-door meeting Tuesday that he plans to spend significant time campaigning against Manchin, who represents a state won by the president over Hillary Clinton by 42 points.

Too many of you are forgetting the Buckley rule
Too many of you are forgetting the utter disinterest the Senate GOP has for the MAGA agenda. Scott is in another corportist in the vain of Corker, Burr, Tillis, etc. He won’t be fighting for MAGA in the Senate. Guaranteed.
But I await visits to Pa and Ohio for those senate candidates.
It’s The Hill. 20% chance it’s accurate.
Yep. Purists would cost us help on 95% of issues because Scott isn’t perfect on gun rights. Instead, we’ll lose 100% of issues with Nelson. Makes no sense.
Maine has a libertarian streak and needs a serious waking up.
Gee thanks for that advice, on our own we could never have figured that out.
BTW any Republican is better than every Democrat.
Nelson is the dumbest-looking man alive. He needs to go big time.
Convict Trump, House impeaches.
I’ll give $100 to whomever the Freepers can get behind. ok so it won’t be Scott. Come on men. Go to work. Who can it be now?
Target all Dems. They might talk a good line, but when the rubber hits the road they vote with Pelosi 99% of the time. If Manchin were serious about doing the right thing for his state, he’d change parties like Jim Justice did.
Rick Scott is a carpetbagger. Nelson votes with planned parenthood. Poor choices the lot.
Might as well have announced it in the Rose Garden...of course the media is not above simply making it up either.
Don't be naïve.
