The Israel Police is preparing for the US embassy's official opening ceremony in Jerusalem with thousands of policeman deployed through the city. At 4:00 PM the official ceremony will take place at the US Consulate in the Armona neighborhood of Jerusalem, which will officially become the US embassy this week.
Palestinians throughout the West Bank and Jerusalem were urged to turn out en masse to protest the embassy move.....

But they're missing the point...The Embassy is NOW in Jerusalem...where our country (and much of the world) has said it belonged....for years.

They weren’t just protesting. They were violently rioting.
Jerusalem is not disputed territory. It lies 100% within Israel and is its capitol.

Sorry the Muslims died, but they died over a protest having no merit. All territory lost by Muslims was due to wars that they started and lost due to their religion’s vendetta against Jews. And they hate Christians only slightly less.
Every so often (Search Adar Bet on Google or the Jewish Encyclopedia for details), the Jewish calendar adds a month (just for that year), so the spring holidays continue to fall in the spring, the fall holidays in the fall.
I'm guessing Israel Independence Day in 1948 fell on May 14, but is celebrated in Israel on whatever day in the Jewish calendar it fell on that year.
The same reason we celebrate Christmas on December 25th, but Easter moves around.
One is tied to the calendar used in the first century, the other is a convenient and fixed date in the calendar used today.
And we never question why, if the calendar starts with Jesus’ birth, why isn’t that January 1st?
They were throwing rocks and setting tires on fire. The instant somebody starts using a sling to toss rocks, it stops being a "protest" and becomes "armed assault", to be responded to with force.

Wrong. They were setting things in fire, throwing rocks at armed men (pretty much always a stupid thing to do), and being egged on by armed terrorists. To wit, Hamas.
