Buckle up’: As Mueller probe enters second year, Trump and allies go on war footing
Seattle Times ^ | 13 May 2018 | Matt Zapotosky and Ashley Parker, Philip Rucker, Tom Hamburger, Robert Costa

The grand jury witnesses arrive one by one at the windowless room in the federal courthouse on Constitution Avenue in downtown Washington. They are struck first by how commonplace the setting feels – more classroom than courtroom, two witnesses said.

One of special counsel Robert Mueller III’s prosecutors stands at a lectern. The jurors, diverse by age and ethnicity, are attentive and take notes. The questioning is polite yet aggressive, surprising witnesses with its precision and often accompanied by evidence – including text messages and emails – displayed on a large old-fashioned overhead projector.

The investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election, which hits its one-year mark Thursday, has formed the cloudy backdrop of Donald Trump’s presidency – a rolling fog of controversy, much of it self-inflicted, that is a near-constant distraction for the commander in chief.

The Mueller operation, like the former Marine Corps platoon commander who leads it, is secretive and methodical. Ten blocks west in the White House, President Trump combats the probe with bluster, disarray and defiance as he scrambles for survival.

"....President Trump .... scrambles for survival....."

Yeah, as in slaying our enemies like North Korea and Iran. Tax cuts, deregulation, appointing new judges, creating a positive environment for new jobs and lower unemployment.

Yeah, he's fighting for survival alright. The survival of the country from the Leftists who have literally run it into the ground.

And he's doing a great job at this "surviving" against all odds.

Mueller will eventually fade. He's got nothing.

I posted on Seattle TIMES FACEBOOK page which must be reviewed by their censors before it is shown.

I bet my set of questions will PROBABLY not get by the censors. THEY cannot let the little people ask common sense questions.

it’s just another WaPo hit piece.

the increasing use of multiple authors by the FakeNewsMSM will not save them. no safety in numbers.

media likes to make out President Trump is hurting America’s image abroad...yet NOTHING is hurting America’s reputation more than this Mueller farce, aided and abetted by the FakeNewsMSM itself.

Heck, the presence of the word “seattle” guarantees a far-left bias.

After 2 years and, what one would think is a rather detailed investigation, have there only been a couple of pleas on unrelated issues and it’s looking like Mueller is about to go, 0-3, with Manafort, 13 Russians, and Flynn.

Mueller is an incompetent and arrogant boob who when he hasn't botched an investigation has actually aided and abetted the enemy (ex. his support of Whitey Bulger). With Flynn, el al, Mueller expected to bully the defendants into a guilty plea. He didn't expect to go to trial, in fact can't go to trial. Because in a trial he would be subject to actually presenting his evidence.

He indicted the Russians as a stupid PR move to he'd have something, anything, actually "Russian" in his stupid prosecution in search of a crime. Then the Russians spoiled his game by showing up in court. Unexpectedly! Now Mueller is left in a very difficult situation of having to show his evidence. Of which he has none.

What that means is Zapotosky wrote it using information from Parker, Rucker, Hamburger and Costa. The others were too busy appearing on cable TV.

If there is any one person...or group of people...who are scrambling for survival...BWAHAHAHAHA.

The army of journalists that it took to write this sophomore paper must have to share the little in pay they receive, since funds are low in newspaper world.

Now, whose scrambling for survival.

What is REALLY means is that it takes five people to bias an article this badly.

It definitely seems like he’s painted himself and his team, in a corner, especially with Manafort, Flynn and the Russians.

He’s a bully and didn’t think anyone would fight back against the government. On top of that, he’s corrupt to the core. Something that, pretty much everyone in DC knows. Especially, Manafort, who was in the game for decades, and Flynn, who was head of DIA. And Manafort has the money to fight and there are so many instances of others doing what he, allegedly, did that there’s no way he’s going down.

Well, now they’re pushing back and there’s no way that he can back out of any of it.

If he decides to drop the charges, then that means he had no case to begin with, so why did he indict? If he goes to court, he’s forced to provide every corrupt thing they’ve been doing, he loses, all are acquitted.

And the entire thing comes crashing down around him.

Where is Sessions and the GOP?

Sessions is a RINO and aligned with the communists Democrats to destroy Trump. As for the GOP, they never were worth a damn in a real fight. The Republicans are wimps and just go along with talk talk talk. Sad!!!!

The “collusion” was Hillary and Putin being in business together with U1...and both conspiring together to thwart the will of the American State in Syria and the Ukraine.

As with all issues with the Left-they first ALWAYS ALWAYS accuse everyone else of exactly what they themselves are doing!!
