Maybe with all the anti-Trump stuff coming from the McCain camp they were trying to bait Trump? Make no mistake about it, McCain is dying as sure as he uses a colostomy bag. It just might not be right away.
He's going to last a few more years. They caught the cancer extremely early... before there was even a tumor (they found it while dealing with a clot).
They did the chemo out of an abundance of caution, and it of course caused various problems... but once that's all done he'll be back in D.C. doing his anti-Trump thing.
People were saying he’d be gone by thanksgiving last year. This is depressing. He will never go away.
