U.S. Sen. John McCain is feeling better as he recovers from cancer treatment and surgery in Arizona, according to family members and friends.
Arizona's junior U.S. senator, Jeff Flake, told Fox News on Friday that he spoke with McCain by phone that morning, and said his 81-year-old colleague was “doing better” than he had been recently.
In April, McCain underwent surgery for an intestinal infection.
Flake did not go into detail, but he smiled and spoke in a tone of voice that suggested he was pleased or relieved to offer the positive update.

He's going to last a few more years. They caught the cancer extremely early... before there was even a tumor (they found it while dealing with a clot).
They did the chemo out of an abundance of caution, and it of course caused various problems... but once that's all done he'll be back in D.C. doing his anti-Trump thing.

1 to 2 year survival is possible with the best treatment he is getting for brain cancer.
It’s not unusual for a patient with a terminal diagnosis to have what appears to be an uptick on his/her condition, but it’s short-lived. I’m not anxious for John McCain to pass, but I do want him to step aside form his US Senate seat. He can in no way properly serve his constituents.

McCain is too important to write a book himself. The book is ghost written and the quotes coming out now are all from his staff.
Back in the 1980s North Dakota Senator Quentin Burdik was completely senile and his staff wrote and presented all his announcements and they even voted for him, with the full knowledge of Senate Majority and Minority Leaders.
I see McCain is following the Obama and commie tactic, “Never let a crisis go to waste.” Arizona needs to dump this treacherous loser.

My Dad was truly a good, God-fearing, man. He passed away from Alzheimer's.
He was at home in the hospice bed we had installed and he opened his eyes and told my Mom and sister that he and his brother (who died in an accident in 1979) had a great day. He said it with a big smile on his face. He closed his eyes and at lunchtime the next day passed away.
Only his hatred of Trump and Trump supporters is keeping him alive. The hate is strong with John McCain.

Another reason he may be hiding out in Arizona trying to take Trump out from a distance. The more info that comes out about McCain the less likely I am to accept his cancer diagnosis!

I thought that too at one point but there were reports that some colleagues witnessed him. Hatch asked him to walk back his petty act of disinviting the President to his funeral.
Usually, if a staff member or family member want to disinvite someone as an act of repudiation, that member would say so publicly.
