Senator Chuck Grassley Drops Atomic Sledgehammer on FBI – Requests FBI Reports and Testimony From ..
CONSERVATIVE TREEHOUSE ^ | Mar 11, 2017 | SUNDANCE

Posted on 05/11/2018 7:02:58 PM PDT by bitt

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley has just dropped a sunlight grenade into the prosecution of Michael Flynn with a jaw-dropping request letter (full pdf below) to FBI Director Christopher Wray. [Judiciary Link Here]

Within the letter Chairman Grassley outlines a prior briefing from fired FBI Director James Comey to the Senate Judiciary Committee, and contrasts the false presentations of Comey -regarding Michael Flynn- against recently known evidence.

Additionally, Grassley is requesting: ♦the transcription of the phone call(s) intercepted by the FBI between Flynn and Russian Ambassador Kislyak; ♦the FD 302’s written by the FBI in their interview with Michael Flynn; ♦and testimony from Special Agent Joe Pientka, likely the second FBI agent who was partnered with Peter Strzok for the Flynn interview.

The name of the second FBI agent was previously unknown, and it’s likely Chairman Grassley outed the name for a very specific reason. This is a BIG shot across the bow.

Yeah, and I’m sure that they will be just as forthcoming with Grassley as they were with Gowdy and Nunes.

And Charlie Brown will get to kick the football, THIS time, for sure.

“Maybe now all the “Sleepy Jeff” people will recognize that, in fact, a lot is going on that they don’t know about but that if they did know, so would ‘the enemy.’”

So why are people who believe in 3D chess by Sessions telegraphing the secret game plan all over the internet?

We can believe that the reasons why its all a carnival barking show but louder this time and nothing will happen is the top criminals Hillary and Obama made sure to lure the republicans into their scam for security and this is what we are seeing, if the dam breaks the entire bottom will fall out and republicans will go with it! The tentacles run far and wide, Lindsey graham on CNN , clear indication

Congress, both sides, have talked for the TV audience and then went back to their quarters and did nothing. It was all to keep the sheep and goats quiet and satisfied... figuring we’d forget what they promised until the next time... the next election.. then they’d do it all over again.

Their goals were to stay long enough to make their fortunes and then retire and “go home to their families where their kids did not know them” except on ocassional trips to their home state. Getting rich off the tax payers and special interest which they served.

I don’t doubt it. Wonder why Congress tolerates such a situation, when they could simply pass a law requiring recording, with the penalty for non-compliance being a 10% funding cut per violation.

Congress can beat its’ collective chest......

Justice will delay years, then provide only partial, heavily redacted information.....

Congress will then beat its chest again.....

After a year or so, Justice will cough up some more heavily redacted pages.....

Then a year or two later, Justice department officials and congresscritters go to a local bar for drinks and toast each others success......

Congressional oversight, what a joke.....

When was the last time you saw a fully enacted contempt of Congress or impeachment of a federal official carried out......

Justice (and the Deep State) has nothing to fear, Grassley is a footnote....

There is too much out there on various democrat scandals, in the end I believe there will be indictments. This wheel takes sooo long to roll, but I think it will happen.

The IG still will deliver his investigation as to the FBI/Clinton shenanigans, which I also believe will send shock waves through D.C..

It is my belief Jeff Sessions is indeed investigating. Folks are giving him a bad rap, but Trump could fire Sessions today if he so chose to do so....why hasn't he? I think because behind the scenes has investigations ongoing.

I am cautiously optimistic. Reason for it, I don't want to believe our whole government is corrupt. There are still good people, patriotic people who want this corruption to stop.

So, we will see.

The indictments will create such chaos that this evidence will not be of much real importance

McCabe had them change their 302 form to say Flynn was lying

I love how this is s-l-o-w-l-y being played out.

Comey is fired while he is far away from his office. DOJ moves in and secures government documents in his former office.

McCabe becomes Acting Director. This was his moment to come clean with DOJ. Instead, He is bounced out within hours of his bonus retirement eligibility.

Mueller goes around making a big show bringing a charge against Flynn. Flynn is allowed to cop a plea, bringing his legal madhouse into a different realm, where he is allowed to testify about other crimes in consideration at the time of sentencing.

Mueller brings charges against Manafort, Page and pop-a-dop, only to slowly find out they all might have been part of a devious scheme to derail the Trump Train from inside.

Rosenstein is brought in, as a darling of the elites, but via the reclusal by Sessions, RR becomes compartmentalized. Sessions can keep telling RR to mind the SC, while Sessions is busy with Huber, and who knows who else, apart from the nonsense that Mueller is doing.

Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. They are in a box, spinning off their legal mumbo-gumbo.

Meanwhile, the average American watches the results produced by the Trump Team. They see the twisted narrative continually being spun by the media. Mr. Trump goes to places like Elkhart Indiana, and hard-working Americans can not get enough of his straight talk.

I have not even touched on Brennan and Clapper, but they are out there dangling in the wind.

This whole thing is such a turn-around and lookey-look, just in time for the mid-term elections. Already Mr. Trump is visiting states with vulnerable democrats and making his case for a congress that will support him.

MAGA

Actually there could be under some states’ law regarding monitoring conversations.

This issue simply compounds earlier recommendations to NOT answer any questions by any official unless they are recorded, by you, and or you have an attorney present.

Brilliant letter by Grasley. The response, well no, we haven’t made that info available and are prepared to defy Judge Sullivan.

Flynn was accused of lying to an FBI agent (Strzok) who hated and was trying to destroy Trump. There is no recording or transcript of what Flynn said in the meeting. Strzok knows what Flynn said to Kislyak because they tapped his phones. They did discuss sanctions. They may also have discussed a number of other things in the course of that conversation or other conversations. Flynn may not have recalled what they talked about. Flynn may have said to Strzok that he “didn’t recall” talking about sanctions. Strzok might have asked Flynn something specific about sanctions, such as “did you suggest to Kisylak that sanctions would be imposed unless Russia admitted to stealing the DNC emails”.. The questions could have been framed in a number of ways to make Flynn’s response intentionally ambiguous. They could have lured Flynn into making a statement which Flynn thought was true but could be interpreted as false, something subjective, like “did you think the call was about sanctions?”, “Why did you place to call to Kislyak”. And the conversation between these FBI agents and Flynn is not recorded. We have to take Peter Strzok’s word for it. And from the text messages we know he was trying to frame Flynn and Trump, and was worried about his operation going “off the rails”. All we have is Strczok’s word about what was said, and he is attempting a coup to destroy the President. And Comey first says Strczok thought Flynn was telling the truth. So when he went to the meeting did Strczok know what Flynnn had said to Kislyak? Of course, he wouldn’t have set up the meeting if he didn’t know in advance what was said on the call. But he left the meeting thinking Flynn didn’t lie. And then later the 302 says that Flynn did lie. This is the biggest Washington scandal ever.

What is going on is simple....drag this out till all of the statutues regarding criminal liability pass by. Then examine the thing from an administrative perspective, after the mid terms, making “changes” to what and how things can be fixed. Some may lose a job, as in retire, but in the end, it will all be glossed over. The only person who may get forced out will be Trump because he is playing against both entrenched parties. That was how Watergate played out. It was much more than just a burglary, there was much more as in illegally generated cash, bribes et al. None saw the light of day BUT changes to laws were made to make it illegal to do what they were doing. Of course those where just impediments to steer around in the future. This quote from Washington is insightful:“.... [political parties] are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”

Maybe PDJT will change procedures at the FBI so that every interview must be recorded. That would shake things up in the swamp.

This is the biggest Washington scandal ever.

Not here to quibble, but actually think the Shooting of Seth Rich is bigger. A defensive linesman can read the play by how the guard or tackle attempt to block them.

I still remember the early reports on how Vince Foster actually was shot in an apartment in Arlington, but that got scrubbed so fast.

The evidence in that case were so criminally tampered with.

The death toll around some of those folks is staggering.

It might have been a good idea to copy Sessions. Someone could have read it to him after his nap.

“So why are people who believe in 3D chess by Sessions telegraphing the secret game plan all over the internet?”

Because the idea that Trump or Sessions would use stealth or strategic misdirection is no secret. It’s standard operating procedure. Of course they wouldn’t show their hand. Of course they would keep details of an ongoing case away from the media.

To say that there are plans and strategies not known to the public is simply stating the obvious. The Sessions bashers (who have zero confidence in Trump) like to mockingly call it “4D Chess” - as if it’s some kooky theory - but it’s not, it’s just normal behavior to avoid revealing information.

What is kooky is to argue that their would NOT be secrets.
