Australia Bans Cash For All Purchases Over $7,500 Starting July of 2019

Australia’s Liberal Party government has announced that it will soon be illegal to purchase anything over $10,000 AU ($7,500 US) with cash. The government says it’s, “encouraging the transition to a digital society,” and cracking down on tax evasion. But not everyone is happy with the move.

“This will be bad news for criminal gangs, terrorists and those who are just trying to cheat on their tax or get a discount for letting someone else cheat on their tax,” Treasurer Scott Morrison said in a speech announcing the government’s new budget. “It’s not clever. It’s not OK. It’s a crime.”

The ban starts on July 1, 2019 and any payment over $10,000 will have to be made by check or credit/debit card. The government will enforce the measure by allocating roughly $300 million for what it calls the Black Economy Standing Taskforce. The goal is to drum up about $3 billion in new tax revenue over the next four years.

Tracked by your phone, etc. Credit cards and debit cards. Facebook for those willing to give up personal info, daily.

Now, just send off your DNA for “ancestry”. I’m sure it’s not entered into a database and collected nor anything like that.

Not surprised. Australia stopped being a free country when the took away guns from the law abiding and allowed so many violent immigrants from Muslim countries.

I would suppose people will now make 2 payments: One for $7,499 and the second for $1.

Ah, but that would be “structuring”, a crime in itself here in the USA.

A couple of days ago I visited my first restaurant that refused to take cash.

I jokingly cried out 'Communists!'

I could just as easily have cried out 'Capitalists!'

And so I am reminded of G. K. Chesterton's comment that communism and capitalism are just two sides to the same materialist coin.

We are humans and we should be governed by human laws and not antiseptic ideologies that goad us into being more efficient or more healthy or more {insert goody-two-shoes nostrum here}.

Soon everyone will need a mark without which they’ll not be able to buy or sell.

These days I’m betting that to keep Muslims happy the mark will include the phrase In the name of Allah with the crossed swords ... which apparently looks in Arabic just like what John saw all those centuries ago.

Mr. Morrison, you are an idiot. Yes, it will have an affect on potential tax cheats. But you are as stupid as the gun control advocates if you think that criminals and terrorists will be deterred in the slightest from committing a low level crime in order to carry out high level crimes.

Dumb as a box of rocks!

Well, in the US, Federal Reserve Notes (admittedly products of a private company) still bear that tricky little “This Note is Legal Tender for ALL Debts, Public and Private” clause. Doesn’t seem to say anything about “Debts Under $7,500.01.”

I suppose when it is no longer backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Marine Corps, the bankers can begin interpreting this clause any way they like. :)

The nation has implemented bio-metrics on drivers lic. renewals. Finger prints, digital photos used in facial recognition systems.

States across the nation are issuing license plates with enhanced selectivity, water marks to enable ALPR’s (automatic Lic. plate readers) to capture hundreds of license plate numbers per hour and compare to database records for outstanding tickets, lapsed insurance/registration, wants and warrants. A few cities in Texas now track when an automobile enters their city and when they leave using these lic. plate readers.

Read few weeks ago, UAE or Abu...one of those countries were trial running digital lic plates. These plates would communicate with the local authorities. If you are speeding...issues an automatic citation. If your reg./insur. has lapsed, it will automatically issue fines AND...automatically deduct from your account. The plates will also allow government to display alerts/messages on your plate. So on and so on.

So...fast forward to yesterday...guess where they are wanting to trial run these plates in the states? Yep...California. lol

1984 brother...1984.

We’re not there yet, of course.

But the world is well on its way to it.

You don’t need many government officers when you can click a button and apply a computer policy to millions of users at once.

Makes tyranny very efficient.

These Liberals are their conservative party, the bunch of Trump-hating Hillarybots that banned guns in the 90s.

This is what happens to a country having no tradition of liberty (or erasing it from the education system), no guns, no free speech, no God, socialized medicine, swamped and ghettoized with culturally foreign immigrants, its productive industries taxed to death, and half the population on welfare. Now there is nothing to stop any intrusion the government decides.

Sad.

Unfortunately the liberal fascists seem to be well on their way to establishing a totalitarian “utopia.” They want to trace where money comes from even for the law abiding citizen.

How they do things. They set the number high so it doesn’t upset the people. Then they lower it. Not enough to get the public mad. Then all cash transactions are made illegal and there’s no recourse. Once that happens they make inflation happen and skim a percentage off savings accounts.

Takes a few years longer than in a dictatorship but the end result is the same.
