Japan's single women a burden on the state, MP says

An MP from Japan's governing party has been accused of sexism after he said young Japanese women should have more children or face being a burden on the state. Speaking at an LDP party meeting, Kanji Kato said young women should have at least three children. He has since retracted his remark, local media reported. Last year the percentage of children in Japan fell to its lowest level since records began more than 100 years ago. Financial and other incentives to encourage bigger families have had little impact.

Mr Kato said that when he gives wedding speeches he tells the bride and bridegroom to produce at least three children.

"We need three or more children from those people to make up for couples who cannot bear a child no matter what they do," he said. His comments were reported by the Asahi Shimbun newspaper.

The 72-year-old father-of-six also said that if he meets a woman who doesn't intend to marry, he tells her she will end up in a care home paid for by taxes from other people's children.

Japan is having a population crisis. Not enough kids being born. They may have to incorporate the European solution and bring in a bunch of muslims.

It shows you how screwed we are as a culture. . when common sense - self-evident truths are deemed to be unthinkable, unspeakable and unworkable.

Well they can barely afford to live themselves.

It isn’t like Japan of the 70s and 80s.

When you have people living in computer cafes because it is the only thing they can afford, do you expect many people to then have kids?

But he is right about the old age burden comment.

Interesting!

Balzac also thought so, even more so, he thought unmarried people were a pernicious influence on society.

He not only wrote essays on it, he based novels on it.

Japanese culture is getting to the point where meeting and mating is too much trouble for the youth.

Literally, slow cultural suicide by failure to even TRY and breed. . .

Historically, Japanese lived in extended family households. Grandma and grandpa lived with their grown children and became caretakers of their childrens’ children.

That changed at the close of WW II.
The millions of young men they sent to war never came home so the new government in Tokyo built orphanages for the old folks who had no place to live.

My dad's Masonic lodge discovered one of these orphanages and adopted the place and its residents, supplying rice, vegetables and charcoal.

“Literally, slow cultural suicide by failure to even TRY and breed. . .”

That’s what happens when feminism turns women into shit goblins incapable of acting as wives and mothers.

Japanese men going their own way.

“...It is not the first time an older male member of the LDP party has told Japanese women they have a public duty to have more children....”
**********************************************************
Well, perhaps they can figure out a way for young Japanese men to have babies then they can tell both men & women to have more children and not “be sexist”.

The relationship between young men and young women has changed.

When I was in high school, my girlfriend couldn’t hardly wait to get married and have children.

The girls in my Son’s high school were focused on college. They didn’t see the boys as potential mates. They saw the boys as competition. And this was a Christian high school.

The little house with a white picket fence has given way to the big city apartment or the 16,000 square foot house overlooking the ocean.

Japan has some real cultural issues:

- Pornography (some real sick stuff that is worse than the US)
- Prostitution (real and pseudo)
- High cost of living
- Materialism
- Insane working hours + [mandatory
] after work socializing
- Rampant fetishes

All of these factor combine to make the younger generation less willing to marry and procreate. Luckily, they still have their sanity and are not taking in boat or plane loads of Third Worlders to “make up” the difference.

Feminism’s most destructive “advice” has been telling women not to get married when they were younger and instead to focus on their education and career and/or playing the field for several years and only start to get serious about getting married in their early 30’s.

Of course by that time - thanks to millions of years of evolution that will not change no matter how much feminists want it to - men view them as massively less attractive than women in their early to mid 20s. Specifically the guys who were their classmates in college or grad school and who are now also in their early 30’s....ones who may have been interested in them in college or grad school...now won’t consider them and instead now that they’ve started to establish themselves in their careers and who are thus more attractive to women, will pursue the 20-something women they couldn’t get before.

The result is a lot of lonely people and fewer kids.
