President Trump agreed with senior White House officials last week to back the Justice Department in its refusal to give House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes information he was seeking. (Jabin Botsford/The Washington Post)

Last Wednesday, senior FBI and national intelligence officials relayed an urgent message to the White House: Information being sought by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes could endanger a top-secret intelligence source.

Frankly, I can't make heads or tails of things anymore.

If someone wants to decipher this I'd appreciate it.

You can start by considering the source. The compost is not credible, you take it from there.

" Intelligence officials fear that providing even a redacted version of the information Nunes seeks could expose that person and damage relationships with other countries that serve as U.S. intelligence partners."

We need an unmasking.

It’s going to come out eventually. Conservative Tree House speculates that it may be Judge Contreras the original judge in the Flynn case and he may have been on FISA court when the FBI asked for the warrants using the Steele Dossier. All of the FISA cases he may have handled previously may be corrupt and cases tossed if he is a corrupt judge if the evidence show it.

I’ve heard they don’t want to give things to Nunes’s committee ‘cause they know Schiff will leak it.

I found this article linked to a liberal tweet.

Carol D. Leonnig

She's one of the authors of the piece so she's tooting her own horn but her followers seem to think this is some major event about to explode.

turning over Justice Department documents could risk lives by potentially exposing the source, a U.S. citizen who has provided intelligence to the CIA and FBI, according to multiple people familiar with the discussion

The DOJ/FBI has cried 'wolf' so many times claiming national security secrecy when later it turned out that they were just doing it for CYA. Like redacting the information that the FBI agents interviewing Flynn didn't think he was lying.

What Nunes is trying to get on the table is WHO actually started the counter-intelligence investigation into Donald Trump? We now know from Nunes that it was not based on a piece of 'official intelligence.'

So what was it? The bartender at Christopher Steele's favorite pub? Brennan passing along scuttlebutt he claimed to get at his meeting in Moscow? Cody Shearer and Sid Blumenthal pulling stuff out of their backside? Nellie Ohr in the garage with a ham radio? Lois Lerner in library with a candlestick?

Because Sessions is recused from the Russia investigation and investigations involving the 2016 campaign, he is not involved in the discussions surrounding Nunes’s request, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Oh, what a surprise.

I read the article. Complicated.

Would bet that the “intelligence” sources to hide are Google, Facebook et al. So obvious, but then again Facebook management is being shuffled around tonight.

FBI and intelligence officials told Chief of Staff John F. Kelly that turning over the information could contradict years of policy about protecting intelligence sources

So which is it? Is this particular source a real 007 secret agent?

Or are they saying well no not really, but they just don't like setting a precedent of giving Congress info?

The Mueller investigation is strictly about deflecting interest away from the crimes of Hillary Clinton, the Obozo and the DNC

“All of the FISA cases he may have handled previously may be corrupt and cases tossed if he is a corrupt judge if the evidence show it.”

If he is a corrupt judge the House should impeach him and the Senate remove him, immediately. Congress must reassert its oversight of the federal judiciary if the swamp is to be drained. Too many federal judges are lawless.

Too bad. We the People are no longer asking nicely for the truth and an end to the lies and manipulation. It's a requirement now.
