The crab pot conundrum.
Black people who rose as whizzes tended to be raised outside the “ghetto.”
I.e. on your own power buck everything you took in with your mother’s milk.
Then we wonder why we hear complaints of “white privilege.” Until white folks who understand that just because a black guy talks a little dish he won’t also be able to be coached into their best ally take the fore, the beat will go on.
Ah the double negatives.
AA was supposed to be an intelligent outreach. But nobody had any real insight about how to do it. It was like mixing oil and water without benefit of emulsifier.

The gospel of old used to serve as that kind of mixing agent. Now we hear a lot of braying about how the country is “Christian” — with little if any earnest embrace of actual Jesus. God has a right to be disappointed.
Any time you are reviewing a resume and the name looks like it was randomly chosen from a Zimbabwe phone book, run for the trash can as fast as you can.
You can bet that they are just a lawsuit looking for a place to happen.
And until (and unless) salvation visits America again that’s exactly how things are going to look.
I am not really understanding any of your last three postings. I wish that I did understand. Maybe it’s late, and I’ve had too much “Prescription Sangria”.
Hire more black people, or at least black actors, so the rest of us can be talked down to on the TV ads, like that obnoxious black software guy.
1. Maybe there are not enough qualified blacks?
2. Maybe there are not enough qualified blacks applying for the job?
3. Maybe there are not enough blacks distinguishing themselves from their peers?
Maybe they think of themselves as being “Black” before they think of themselves as a person with incredible skills and some mad desire to get ahead.
I think they self objectify and it’s really, really sad.
They are promoting a different sort of bigotry and begging/demanding they be given something by virtue of their color, not their achievements.
I really am tired of hearing aboit race anymore.
No one gives a flip what color you are and I don’t know anyone who does.
I sure as hell would not ass9ciate with anyone who would disadvantage another person because of their skin color.
But hey, if you want to use race as your special crutch and excuse for not being particularly good at your job, then you are welcome to live in your lowered expectation world, which you create and nurture.

That would make sense considering the U.S. population is 72.4% white & 12.6% black. I have to wonder though if the black population realizes that a decade ago they were 18+% of the population? That’s what living on the dimocrat plantation will get you when you let them put abortion clinics in all of your neighborhoods and TOTALLY IGNORE the problem of BLACK ON BLACK crime.

Seriously, though, your statement couldn’t be a clearer declaration that you have no idea what goes on under the covers in the IT industry.
There’s an old saying: “If builders built buildings like programmers write programs, the first woodpecker to come along will destroy civilization.”
Our IT industry is stuffed to the brim with H1-B foreigners who got in the door with resume fraud and genuinely have no freaking clue whatsoever as to what they are doing.
Whenever I have to review a stack of resumes I arbitrarily select half of them and throw them in the trash. I don’t need unlucky people working for me.

It is definitely tiresome hearing about race when no one is addressing the real reasons for their job performance problems which stems from the 75% out of wedlock family structure. Lack of that father figure setting a good work ethic example for the family is definitely a handicap but who other than a few that can be counted on one hand even discusses that. So much easier to blame whitey.
