Transgender Scouts of America. Oops, TSA is already taken. OK, LGBTPUSTFU Scouts of America.

We are well and truly doomed.

"For what you are wanting/describing, there are other events you can go to/use (like church camps, and others) without destroying the original intent of the BSA..."

It is not these girls who have alerted the mission of Boy Scouts.
Instead, it is the Boy Scouts, all of whom were male that decided to include girls.

Now, why would a great organization like Scouts BSA decide to permit girls to join?

If the Boy Scouts is not a great organization, why are you concerned about what the boys and men in Scouts BSA have decided?

You aren’t even wearing blinders... your blacked out glasses barely have a micro (µ) sized pinhole to see with.

(As for your previous question about what they are supposed to be doing because they aren’t getting any new scouts.. this is exactly how they planned it (the destruction of the BSA..).. As soon as they started putting queers and women in positions, smart people started pulling out of the organization).

Cute girls with (hopefully) the right idea.. but in the WRONG organization (that was intended for boys, that they are now helping with further destruction of masculinity).

Good luck (and get new glasses), this is obviously way over your head...

Oh.. welcome to FR, btw.

Sorry you didn’t find the troop to your liking. As with any new organization, there are bound to be fits and starts. The younger boys program, Woodlands trail has been revamped this year.

The initial program was very clunky and too complex. The 2.0 version is much better and troops should have a handle on it.

You may want to check it out again. Can you PM me where you are and which troop it was? I know lots of people in the organization and may be able to tell you their current status.

It appears that the BSA has looked to a way to stem its declining membership.

Perhaps that Boy Scouts transition to Scouts BSA will be a success, or it may fail. We don’t know the answer to that question, but the data show that the number of Scouts is decreasing.

Four. Eagle Scout. 1972. I know there are many more here on FR. My local troops in Pocatello are LDS sponsored. In San Diego, I was in Troop 857 sponsored by the PTA at Hazel Goes Cook Elementary. Many of my friends were in larger troops sponsored by large Catholic churches. The scout facilities in North Park and Fiesta Island were perpetually targeted by the gays and their acolytes sitting on the San Diego City Council. My middle son joined in Mira Mesa. A Catholic operated troop. Our LDS ward sponsored troop was too small. He earned First Class before they had the first Court of Honor. The scoutmaster said he should "slow down". Big mistake. Full stop. Exit. That pretty much ended my active association with the BSA of old.

It is. I’m so grateful we grew up in a time when girls would have never wanted to be in the Boy Scouts.

“arts and crafts”?! When I was in the BS in the 60’s we built bridges over creeks, whittled with our pocket knives, built camp fires and hiked.
