You don’t like people insulting your country and yet you think that Americans should just sit still and smile as your government and your people insults mine? Such typical British arrogance, you are offended, but I am not allowed to be?

I would rather my President stay in this country especially at this time when there are important things to consider, your country not being one of them. Our president is accomplishing miracles and your government is blocking wherever they can. Plenty of Americans insult your flag, your president and your culture and history - and that is your own people. You don’t then synthesise those people as being representatives for America do you.

Maybe you are used to arguing with Brits on other websites - my advise would be to step away from the keyboard. Like I say, I am British, I am well travelled and I have lived here my entire life. The British people love America and our histories have been intertwined for better and worse.

If you judge a nation by your arguments on the internet you are getting a very myopic view of things.

My larger point is - our government did that, not the British people. We have a corrupt system just like yours.

Of course they represent our country what country do you think they represent?. We are very large and diverse country and there will be differences of opinion, but the point is they are NOT attacking someone else’s country. Are they racing around insulting Britain or any other country and threatening huge protests when your PM visits? No they are not we keep it within the “family,” and even our radicals have better manners than yours.

I’m sorry, but how is the fact that Britain has an anti-American (and frankly, anti-British) liberal establishment any different to the one that you have? What are you sorry about? I don’t see our left protesting your country egged on by our “politicians” to demonstrate in the streets. I don’t see any prominent American politicians insulting your PM. I don’t see any mayor in our country making headlines telling your PM “you are not welcome here.”

I don’t see our House and Senate debating whether or not to ban any British politicians or taking to the world stage to embarrass those of us who elected our president.

We are supposed to swallow any crap you throw at us and smile while doing it. The very people in this country who would support you and your country are the ones who you belittle the most. We are all fat, we are all stupid, we are all inbred and uneducated, none us travel or have passports, etc.

One thing I have noticed about the British, nothing is ever your fault, i.e. your British anti-Americans were created by...wait for it, Americans. If it wasn’t for our pussies no one over there would think of protesting an American president.
