Plenty of Americans insult your flag, your president and your culture and history - and that is your own people. You don’t then synthesise those people as being representatives for America do you.

Maybe you are used to arguing with Brits on other websites - my advise would be to step away from the keyboard. Like I say, I am British, I am well travelled and I have lived here my entire life. The British people love America and our histories have been intertwined for better and worse.
If you judge a nation by your arguments on the internet you are getting a very myopic view of things.

My larger point is - our government did that, not the British people. We have a corrupt system just like yours.
Obama threw us to the back of the bus and interfered in our EU referendum. I didn’t then say I hated America - to do so could only be considered pretty stupid.

Of course they represent our country what country do you think they represent?. We are very large and diverse country and there will be differences of opinion, but the point is they are NOT attacking someone else’s country. Are they racing around insulting Britain or any other country and threatening huge protests when your PM visits? No they are not we keep it within the “family,” and even our radicals have better manners than yours.
