Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D) challenged Sen. Ted Cruz (R) to six debates — including two in Spanish — the Texas Tribune reported.

O’Rourke’s campaign manager sent the proposal to Cruz’s senior staff last week, according to the Tribune.

Cruz has said in the past he is open to debating O’Rourke and his campaign is currently exploring its options, according to the Tribune.

If he wants a debate in Spanish, why not run for office in Nuevo Laredo? He might qualify for dogcatcher.

The Dems really should consider running people who can SPEAK ENGLISH, regardless of the ethnic makeup of the voters, at least for now.

Congress voted, perhaps the Continental Congress as to which language should be spoken. English I believe won, even if it were only one vote. Let the Democrats speak and learn English.

What's the point? You need to be able to understand English to be a citizen and therefore to vote.

Naturalization Eligibility Requirements

Before an individual applies for naturalization, he or she must meet a few requirements. Depending on the individual’s situation, there are different requirements that may apply. General requirements for naturalization are below.

Be at least 18 years old at the time of filing Form N-400, Application for Naturalization.

Be a permanent resident (have a “Green Card”) for at least 5 years.

Show that you have lived for at least 3 months in the state or USCIS district where you apply.

Demonstrate continuous residence in the United States for at least 5 years immediately preceding the date of filing Form N-400.

Show that you have been physically present in the United States for at least 30 months out of the 5 years immediately preceding the date of filing Form N-400.

Be able to read, write, and speak basic English.

Have a basic understanding of U.S. history and government (civics).

Be a person of good moral character.

Demonstrate an attachment to the principles and ideals of the U.S. Constitution.

Beto speaks perfect English, the same as Cruz.

However, as Cruz dropped “Rafael”, filed as Ted Cruz, Beto dropped the “Beto” and filed as Robert O’Rourke, presumably to appeal or to trick whitey Texans.

Never fear, it is likely Cruz still safely owns the Texas Republican Party Convention of grassroots NRA and fundamentalist Christians.

There was plenty of suppression of Trump delegates at Convention, during the Primary. Not sure to what extent that contingency has come around. One would think it has come around a LOT, as TRUMP has more than proven himself in every category of requirements that the state convention delegates threw up against him.

My gosh, the guy is so popular in El Paso: he could spread his popularity as far east as Beaumont and already has all the big cities in his pocket except Fort Worth.

We it is cruz’s fault for yelling in Spanish at Jeb at one of the debates. I guess he stuck his foot in it. Better brush up, cruz.
