Texas Rep. Beto ORourke (D) challenged Sen. Ted Cruz (R) to six debates including two in Spanish the Texas Tribune reported.
ORourkes campaign manager sent the proposal to Cruzs senior staff last week, according to the Tribune.
Cruz has said in the past he is open to debating ORourke and his campaign is currently exploring its options, according to the Tribune.

If he wants a debate in Spanish, why not run for office in Nuevo Laredo? He might qualify for dogcatcher.
The Dems really should consider running people who can SPEAK ENGLISH, regardless of the ethnic makeup of the voters, at least for now.
Paddy O’Rourke is full of blaney.
No debates en español.
Congress voted, perhaps the Continental Congress as to which language should be spoken. English I believe won, even if it were only one vote. Let the Democrats speak and learn English.
Nailed it, bagster!

Have a basic understanding of U.S. history and government (civics).
Be a person of good moral character.
Demonstrate an attachment to the principles and ideals of the U.S. Constitution.
Beto speaks perfect English, the same as Cruz.
However, as Cruz dropped “Rafael”, filed as Ted Cruz, Beto dropped the “Beto” and filed as Robert O’Rourke, presumably to appeal or to trick whitey Texans.
Never fear, it is likely Cruz still safely owns the Texas Republican Party Convention of grassroots NRA and fundamentalist Christians.
There was plenty of suppression of Trump delegates at Convention, during the Primary. Not sure to what extent that contingency has come around. One would think it has come around a LOT, as TRUMP has more than proven himself in every category of requirements that the state convention delegates threw up against him.
TED CRUZ: [Speaking in Spanish] We can do this in Spanish if you want to, go ahead.
LMAO!
Actually, I was unaware that TCruz spoke Spanish. How fluently?
My gosh, the guy is so popular in El Paso: he could spread his popularity as far east as Beaumont and already has all the big cities in his pocket except Fort Worth.
We it is cruzs fault for yelling in Spanish at Jeb at one of the debates. I guess he stuck his foot in it. Better brush up, cruz.
Is he a legitimate threat?
Uh Ted’s father is also named Rafael.
So he was not called Ted to “whiten” Him.
His middle name is Edward/ AS I am sure you know Ted is a known nickname version of Edward.( I bet You know who Ted Kennedy)
Nope.
Marco Rubio could tell him that that’s a bad idea.
Ted should tell him when he decides to run for Senator of Mexico he will be glad to debate him in Spanish!!!
NO!!!
