John McCain in New Book: I’m (Going to Die,) Freer Now to Speak My Mind

In a new book, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) writes that his battle with brain cancer has given him a sense of liberation to vote and speak his mind.

“This is my last term,” McCain writes in his upcoming book The Restless Wave, which he co-authored with former adviser Mark Salter. An excerpt of the book was posted Monday on Apple News.

“If I hadn’t admitted that to myself before this summer, a stage 4 cancer diagnosis acts as ungentle persuasion,” McCain continues. “I’m freer than colleagues who will face the voters again. I can speak my mind without fearing the consequences much. And I can vote my conscience without worry. I don’t think I’m free to disregard my constituents’ wishes, far from it. I don’t feel excused from keeping pledges I made. Nor do I wish to harm my party’s prospects. But I do feel a pressing responsibility to give Americans my best judgment.”

Oh, does that mean McCain finally is going to confess his Keating Five crimes. I won’t hold my breath. This guy is beyond disgusting. Hillary had the right word: Despicable.

"McCain: I'm Going to Die, Freer Now to Speak My Mind..."

So you're admitting that you've been a lying phony all this time. Thanks for confirming what we've known for years. And you're freer now to die as soon as possible too. Thanking you in advance for your complete cooperation.

There are probably parts of his brain that are not affected by the cancer. I lost a close family member to this horrible disease. Some bodily and mental functions were gone but some lasted until the end. It is a terrible disease.

The only thing that would get McCain out of his hospice bed to come to Washington for a vote is to vote to save Obamacare again. He lied that he would vote against Obamacare the last time he ran and he lied that he wanted “a danged fence” built the election before that because he was the Republican who sponsored the amnesty bill during the Bush administration and he needed to get elected again.

idiot didn’t even realize he could always speak his mind unless he was just a tool or wanted to lie to benefit himself - oh, yeah, that’s all John seems to have ever been and done. waste of a life.

How was he able to write a book but not able to be in DC to represent his state? If he couldn’t represent his state, then why didn’t he resign?

One highly suspects that Mister McCain did not actually "write" the book, rather that he "co-authored" a book, say with just an outline and some very nice paragraphs about his Dem bffs and some nasty paragraphs about Trump and the border wall.

And, just as with the books that Hillary allegedly wrote (cough, cough), one suspects that he has not actually read the entire thing.

Stupid title, btw.

I might leaf through it in the Dollar Store to laugh and jeer, but not to buy it.

I would get up early

to stand in a long line

to pay money

to NOT buy it.
