Faith in America, a pro-LGBT organization which will be protesting at the annual gathering of the Southern Baptist Convention in Phoenix, Arizona, next week, recently announced that they will be lobbying for the nation's largest Protestant body to remove homosexuality and transgenderism from their "sin list."
"Ultimately, we at FIA believe LGBT people should be removed from the sin list. We know interpretations and new revelations come to light. We believe the Church will one day stop diminishing the lives of those who are LGBT and we strive to help this come to pass," the organization said in a release.
"We are optimistic people and see the glass 75% full! We appreciate and respect how the SBC has changed teachings and interpretations based on new, important information. We applaud how in 1995 the SBC issued a formal apology to People of Color for their role in the inhuman practices of slavery and segregation."

That was yesterday. This is today.
These boogersnots are already welcome in some churches. Why can’t they let the SBC be?
Sure, right after we remove murder from the sin list.
They can't tell the difference between agape and eros, or is everything about (weird, kinky) sex with them?
Because they can't let any affront to their self-righteousness to unchallenged.
I have really strong friends/allies from the SBC who have worked together with us Catholics over the years on these life/family issues. I love them. They have my maximum respect.
Homosexuality, in the sense of being so attracted isn’t a sin. It’s the behavior that is a sin. It’s often the behavior that caused the attraction that was a sin - albeit often originally as a victim.
queers and trannies are hell bound
Perhaps the male rimmers and coprophiles should stop calling normal people that are disgusted by fecal obsession homophobes.
Oh I agree with you.
If one focuses only on the law or a list of sins, they’ve missed the whole purpose of what God is trying to do, which is to redeem us.
But to change the activities that scripture points out as sin, to placate someone’s lustful desires, would be dishonest. And doing so isn’t likely to get that person any closer to recognizing that they need Jesus.
And that the person want’s us to be dishonest about what scripture calls sin, doesn’t indicate a desire to repent, but rather to avoid conviction.
Ill bet it doesnt happen

But they won’t ask Muslims to change THEIR beliefs.
We have to admit that most American institutions and growing segments of society are now infiltrated. It was all by design and we allowed ourselves to be lied to.
Would be interesting watching these fops protest in front of a busy mosque making the same demands of their koran beliefs.
Are they talking about homosexuality, or identifying oneself as homosexual, or homosexual activity? The notion of someone being homosexual is a modern thing. When the Bible was written there were no homosexuals, there was only homosexual acts. That is what God condemns.
That's about the biggest bunch of nothing I've read.
A call to chastity?? No appeal to repent??
Inner freedom?? Sounds like a bunch of New Age feel goodism.
No wonder the RCC has a homosexual problem in its midst.
You should have just appealed to Romans 1 or any other of the passages that deal with this issue.
But, as with all things Roman Catholic, it is not surprising not to find an appeal to the Word.
One doesn't have to repent of an unchosen homosexual attraction, any more than one has to repent for an unchosen attraction toward intellectual pride, material wealth or another man's wife/ Note the word "unchosen." In other words, I'm talking about temptation, and temptation is not a sin per se. It's an innate weakness which inclines one towards particular sins. These innate weaknesses are consequences of Original Sin, and they afflict everybody, albeit in different ways, because we all bear a damaged human nature.
So we all face lifetime struggles against innate tendencies. I sure do. That's why we need grace from God, and mercy.
A call to chastity is a call to repent unchastity, if you have been guilty of that sin.
LGBT advocates (as distinguished from people who merely feel same-sex attractions) -- are highly offended by the Catechism's description of the tendency itself as "objectively disordered," and the acts themselves as "intrinsically disordered" and of "grave depravity."
This is not New Age feel-goodism. This is objective moral truth.
I apologize for not including the Scriptures cited in this paragraph.
Sorry for the typos in the previous post.
