I hated the lying SOBs long before any politician brought it up. They have richly earned the disdain.
Lying is a form of stealing. The public has tired of journalists stealing their support of issues, support that is won and propped up by their incessant stream of falsehoods. Journalists pretty well deserve what they are getting. I hope raw fear is alive and well in their hearts.
So few today know of Walter Crookedkite. This guy I truly despise, for his lying cost tens thousands of lives, literally turned victory into defeat, and increased the backlash against Viet Vets that came home.
During that era he was often referred to as “The most trusted man in America”.
The standard that jackass set for journalists to come is why they are so hated today.
I, for one, have no problem nor animus towards journalists. Unfortunately, they are very few and far between. The vast majority employed by the mainstream media and graduating from the university schools of journalism are propagandists and not, in fact, journalists. There is a difference.
People are sick and tired of having an agenda pushed at them 24/7. Report the news not your opinion not your political ideals, not your social justice warrior crap etc.
The press never acknowledges their role. It’s like a burglar who’s ramped up his schedule complaining that “increasingly, I’m being being arrested. Arrests of me are growing. Therefore, the police state is increasing and freedom dwindling.”
AP doesn’t say who at RSF is singling out President Trump, but here is the likely individual:

Donald Trump’s barrage of angry tweets and insults against members of the “disgusting,” “incompetent,” “irrelevant,” “worthless,” “nasty,” “failing,” “pure scum,” “boring,” “dumb,” “total disaster,” “sick,” “garbage,” “fake news” media has already caused press freedom in America to suffer, according to Reporters Without Borders...
RSF unveiled the findings Wednesday morning at a launch event co-hosted by The Washington Post (known to Trump as the “phony and dishonest Washington Post”) featuring media panelists from around the world...
There is a “continuing downward trend” of press freedom in America, Margaux Ewen, RSF advocacy and communications director, told HuffPost. She expects the decline could continue as Trump’s leadership progresses.
“It’s really concerning that the leader of the country of the First Amendment would be the poster child for how to attack the media verbally, and [how to] divert suspicion away from members of government to the press,” Ewen said.
The influence of Trump’s rhetoric extends far beyond American borders, she explained.
In Europe, for example, Italian comedian-turned-populist politician Beppe Grillo, an open admirer of Trump, has declined to answer questions from the journalistic “caste,” and called reporters “fabricators of fake news.”...
“You can already see the impacts abroad of the brazen language of Trump and his administration against the media,” said Ewen. “I think [world leaders] feel that they’re able to say [anti-media comments] more, because the U.S. president is saying it.”...
“Media freedom has never been under as much threat as it is in this year’s index, and the cherry on top of the cake is that [leading democracies] are slipping,” said Ewen.
“Public trust in the media is at risk here in the United States, but we’ve also witnessed a resilience in the press since the new administration took office,” she added. “It’s really important to remind the people that the press is reporting for them.”

Maybe because they are no journalists left, only shameless propagandists fraudulently claiming to be “Journalists”
Journalists and the news media are our instruments to view what’s going on in the world not immediately in front of us.
In a society where citizens choose their leaders, citizens should be outraged when these instruments are giving us inaccuracy.
They could all drop dead tomorrow morning and I would not shed a tear or lose a minute of sleep. Completely without regret, I would likely eat a large piece of hot homemade apple pie.
As long as these scab pickers continue, the wounds to our country may never heal.
People hate reporters because they collude with hard core leftists to fool the people! Some want to give Slick Willie a Lewinski because he kept abortion legal. Journalists, by and large are morally and ethically bankrupt! They’re whores!
By all means single out DJT as a journalist hater. Or course, his problem is not with journalists. It is with opposition propagandists masquerading as journalists.

.........like our Congress critters, the majority of lawyers and all used car sales persons, the American people have got “journalists” figured out and they are at the top of the hate list.

People are tired of being lied to. The news is nothing more than propaganda and lies in favor of the democrats/leftists.

My hatred of journalists hasn’t been rising, I couldn’t hate them anymore now than I did 20 years ago.
