When will they make the connection between Democrats and higher taxes/cost of living?

Why $8 coffee? A daily dose of Starcucks is evidently necessary for her ego.

Here's a percolator and a portable mug. What a whiner.

I’ve lived almost all my life near the Canadian border.

I literally did not know what roaches are supposed to look like until I googled them just now.

Mosquitoes, oh hell yes. Roaches, not that I know of.

It is just 85 rotations per minute (RPM) or rotations per foot. There is no such thing as RPM per foot. Spinning class is learning how to keep the cadence between an RPM minimum and maximum. When you approach a hill, you shift gears, the bike will slow down but your cadence (RPM at the pedals) will stay the same. Therefore the load and pace for the human has little variance. If you kept the rotations per foot the same, there is no gear shifting and you might not make it up the hill unless the human is capable putting out more. Most stationary bikes can simulate these conditions.

Stationary bicycles that you pedal to music. It is a “thing”. I have done it a few times. It is NOT for the physically weak.

Keep in mind that most people have jobs that actually pay well in NYC. Many people are making 6 and 7 figures a year. Try that in Mississippi or Alabama.....Not happening. It depends on what you want in life. If you want to be able to have nice things then you give up other things.

The average annual pay in Alabama is $39,180, according to a new report from On Numbers. That ranks No. 37 in the nation among the 50 states and the District of Columbia

Better then Alabama which has a pathetic annual pay. Do you know how much more you can by with that extra 30 grand?

Should be $68,963, not $68,693,

These great big numbers just get me all skitterish.

B.S. I couldn’t get by in Idaho on $70,000.

What do you do with your giant 30 grand? Big spender like you, have you ever even tipped a cabby?

By the way, New York’s income tax is just shy of nine percent. Alabama’s top bracket is five percent.

Do you know how much you can do with that extra three percent?...lol...

Look, the man’s point was that NYC is a bleep-hole with sky-rocketing costs and an inexorable degradation of quality of life.

What does your lousy thirty grand do to offset that?

What the hell is a "spinning class" anyway?

It's where the babes are, brother!

It is pedal rotations per minute - since the foot is on the pedal it is also per foot. (I use the term that way so that people don’t count both feet, each foot should make about 85 to 105 circles a minute, not both added together.) The purpose of gearing is, as you said to keep that cadence steady at 85 to 105 for most people.

If you are pedaling much slower than 85 RPM you are either not working very hard or tearing up your knees, at least at anything faster than walking speed. Above 105 per foot, you rapidly get winded. Obviously, sprints or a steep climb may necessitate a cadence outside this norm for a short period. The exception is some world class sprinters will have a cadence of 115 or so. But most of us are not Sean Kelly.

The states with the worst “blue cities” are facing real problems because as these sh!tholes cast wider and wider nets to raise revenues for their unproductives (their welfare and government worker castes), other state residents (first at the county, then the state level) feel the pinch and flee. Here in NJ there is no reason to flee a “blue city” if living in a red suburb still forces you to pay all the bills for the blue cities - on top of your new location’s bills. Many American taxpayers that in the past fled northeastern NJ for the western or southern parts of the state now leave the state altogether for this very reason; as I understand it, the exodus from California isn’t just from the cities as well (and certainly in your case, NY state is very expensive even away from the blue cities).

“What the hell is a “spinning class” anyway?”

I think it is sort of like a cross between a stationary bike and a flywheel. Urban women with too much time and money on their hands get together in a “class” or as I would call it, a coven, and spin their brains out. Like a bunch of bored hamsters. Hook them all together and you could generate a few watts.
