Kanye West to Hot 97's Morning Host Ebro Darden: 'I Love Donald Trump'

In just a matter of days, Kanye West single-handedly won the hearts of hip-hop purists with his evocative tweets and hearty promises about producing new albums for Pusha T and Nas. On Monday (April 23), West quashed any hopes of him returning back to the "old Kanye" when Hot 97's Ebro Darden revealed that the Chicago lyricist doubled down on his 2016 support for President Trump.

"He said, 'I do love Donald Trump,'" Darden said during his conversation on Ebro in the Morning. In the clip, Darden explained how he and West had a conversation over the weekend on a myraid of topics. He later revealed how shocked he was to hear the venerated MC stand by his controversial stance and support of Trump. "Nobody really showed love for me when I was addicted to opioids and in the hospital," West told Darden during their chat.

Rosenberg -- Darden's co-host -- chimed in on Twitter and voiced his opinion on the matter. "Biggest take away from Ebro in the Morning today ... Kanye West is still an avid Donald Trump supporter, " he tweeted. "You can process that however you like but if you’re waiting for him to say 'my bad' about his trump statements — don’t hold your breath."

In 2016, Trump and West had a meeting to "discuss multicultural issues" weeks after the embattled MC canceled his Saint Pablo Tour and was hospitalized. West -- who notched a string of unsavory rants during his tour -- pledged his allegiance to President Trump at one of his past shows, confessing that he would have voted for him.

Watch Ebro explain Kanye's thought process on Trump below.

Video from Ebro's vapid show at link. Painful to watch/listen to in a way -- but gives you an idea of how things are perceived in that "community".

Good for Kayne for having the courage to be different. I think this might move a mountain or two...

Yes, it was courageous, but please remember that this is the same Kanye who went crazy on the Hurricane Katrina telethon and caused even Mike Myers to look a little worried.

Unless he is going to claim the opiods made him do that.

Kanye, Diamond and Silk, Colion Noir (NRA spokesman), Brandon Tatum, Candice Owens....all are black and conservative in nature. All present their cases to the community and are influencing the direction of black votes in 2020 and 2024.

I think the Democratic Party has a problem in presenting the victim agenda now. If Trump continues on the job-agenda, and these black leaders can present their case....I’ll predict that 20-percent of the blacks who voted for Hillary in 2016....will flip over to Trump in 2020.

If you think Democrats are insane now, just watch what happens when they start to lose the Black vote. You will see racism and race-baiting the likes of which have never been seen before.

Yes, I remember that. I thought he was a real idiot when he said that. But he was recently famous at the time, and maybe a little arrogant... don’t know about the opioids.. I think he dealt with that stuff later.

So maybe not the “same” Kanye, because people change... but I’m willing to give the guy some credit for evolving.

CNN did exit-polling to say that 89-percent of Blacks in 2016 voted for Hillary. Unless they can dig out another Obama-like black candidate for the 2020 election....I just don’t see the numbers staying up that high.

Unfortunately, they have stayed that high virtually since 1964. From the first election in which Blacks were enfranchised en masse (1868 or 1872) until 1932, the GOP got a majority of their vote. Even from 1936-1960, they got between 1/4th and 1/3rd of their vote for President. Ike got 39% in 1956 (and that was with considerable Black voter suppression in the South).

In every Presidential election since LBJ, the Dem has received at or above 85% of the vote. Nixon got 1/3rd of the Black vote in 1960, but their vote became so radicalized he dropped to 15% or so by 1968. Even with the landslide vote in 1972 (and poor Sammy Davis, Jr. being vilified for endorsing Nixon), his showing was even worse, just 13%. With Reagan, even worse. He got 12% in 1980, and just 9% in the 1984 49-state landslide.

Even Bob Dole got 12% in 1996. Dubya got 8% in 2000, and 11% in 2004 (the first time since 1956 that the GOP incumbent increased his share).

And it hit rock bottom in ‘08 with McCain’s 4%, which was worse than Goldwater’s record low 6%. And Willard also only got 6% in 2012. So much for the claim of “moderates” having appeal.

If Trump gets 15% of the Black vote in 2020, that will tie Nixon’s ‘68 and Ford’s ‘76 performances. Breaking 16% will be, as I cited above, the best performance since 1960.

If the Republicans can get to 1/3rd of the Black vote downballot, that will start to break up the dominance of the Dems in many districts that have held unassailable control since the 1930s.

The % will stay up there, but the turnout will go down.

Very impressive comments on Billboard! The worm is turning on the rats which explains why they are encouraging illegals. The end could be closer for them than we think.

If only the Republicans were not so inflicted with Stockholm syndrome. They could start hammering home the point that the black ghettoes, created by Democrat policies, have caused untold suffering. Middle class blacks who have adopted Republican principles (even if they still vote for dems) do fine and have a better standard of living. Republicans could capitalize on this, if they were not so cowed by abusive libs.

That Candace Owens scored a nice shot on Hannity last night: If Dems lose even 5% of the black vote, they are finished.

(5% of the piece they get; they already lose 5% of the total)

The left usually controls the narrative, especially names. The title of “victim” is not one people really want. Hopefully more people everywhere will choose to be a victor rather than a victim.

I am not worried about that FMJ, I am more concerned about FR. A while back, I posted that we had 2 African Americans running as R's in the MI primary to go up against Stabenow for that Senate Seat. Did I get beeotch slapped by politicos that it wasn't worth the effort, bla, bla, bla. Seriously has anyone been to Detroit lately and seen the turn around? Like you I can smell the fear, perhaps the AA community is noticing it too, that PDJT is the real deal and jobs are coming back. The signs are everywhere, LS and others are denoting PDJT is above 10% with the AA community and the DNC and all it's minions are toast in 2020 because of it. IMHO we are not going to have to wait until 20, 18 the Blue Wave will be the Blue Daze, because when it is over the Progs are gonna be stunned and yes the AA vote will be part of it...

Now, according to the childish liberal press, you need to “confess” if you happen to support anyone other than a liberal, and are expected to man up to your mistake if you do.

Their world view is so simple-minded it’s a wonder their teeny brains can support it.

“Unless they can dig out another Obama-like black candidate for the 2020 election....I just don’t see the numbers staying up that high”

Cory Booker, Kamilia Harris, have their aim on the White House. POS Obama would actually work to get Harris elected making her a dangerous candidate. Nunez needs to keep digging in his Fisagate Investigation, the Kenyan is dirty. Tie his lie about knowing nothing about Hillerys private Server around his scrawny neck. Obviously those emails that Odunga sent we’re amongst the 30,000 Hildabeast bleach bit.

“Controversial”??? Really?

So now to support our president is considered “controversial”.

Wow...

Over the past year, I’v followed Kamilia Harris. Her appearances in the Senate made her appear like some prosecuting attorney (her occupation). She has very low appeal. Go and look up her achievements since becoming a Senator (almost as much as Hillary accomplished). Chances for Harris in a primary campaign? Zero in Iowa...maybe some west coast chances in Cal, Wash and Oregon...beyond that she’s got no appeal...even in the black community.

Booker? He’s made a few speeches, and be fairly recognized in NJ and NY...beyond that? He’s a virtual unknown with midwest or southern Democrats. Chances in Iowa? No. He could probably take five to seven states max in a primary.

The Democrats are more or less stuck with LA mayor Eric Garcetti. He’s already appearing in Iowa, and drumming up support among Latinos. His appeal is toward the urbanization crowd....not rural or red-state Democrats. But he’s the best shot they have going right now.
