Most churches I know of follow the same course; love the sinner, hate the sin and all that. But if I'm reading this article correctly the church is in trouble for even allowing gay people to be members.
In my denomination, anyone can attend, but in order to become a member, you have to be born again, and be able to tell the Elders when and how that came about. We’re all sinners, but if you’re flaunting your sin, are “in your face” about it, and are unrepentant, why would you even want to be there? We go to Church to hear the Word of God, and worship Him. We’re not all on the same level in our spiritual growth, but why go, if you don’t believe the Word preached? (Assuming you’re in a Church that preaches the Word.) Jesus didn’t turn people away, but He did tell them the Truth.
How can they be members if they are not repentant of their sin. We all sin but we do not look to the church to tell us that it is really okay
