Amend the Constitution first to nullify the pernicious precedents that have brought all this to pass. Give a two-thirds majority in one house and a simple majority in the other the power to nullify bad rulings by SCOTUS.
There is this group tha is called the ACLU who would just say “no” as in see you in court.
You are 100% correct and then add in the cost. Equipment that needs to be updated all the time and highly trained personnel cost money.
A trial that took place in Atlanta, some years ago, had some forensic evidence. At the opening of the trial, the judge told the jury, believe it or not, that what they’re about see and hear is not TV. And that if they wanted a TV crime lab, their property taxes would go through the roof, for one, and that DNA results aren’t completed in 20 mins.
No I don’t.
I was a detective. Unlike many, or even most, cops I don’t wave the Blue Line flag or think every cop walks on water and we should all bow in subservience. Far from it. But, I do get more than a bit peeved when people, who’ve never done it, cast judgement on some things after the fact, when they were there and don’t know all the circumstances.
