Common sense is the complete stranger from whom weve grown apart.
This week, perhaps the same as you, I learned something I never before considered, let alone gave a first thought: The expression cotton pickin" as in wait a cotton pickin minute is racially insensitive, if not a free-standing racist expression.
Having never before considered that, it makes sense as black slaves served as Americas cotton pickers. I dont recall ever speaking or writing the expression, but Im now sensitive to the good idea that I never should.

Everything is a weapon.
Everything is racist.
Cotton is picked by machines. Deal with it.
Even though they love their stereotypes, plenty of people other than blacks picked cotton.
The Doug Adler case takes the cake. So now we can’t use words such as guerilla or niggardly because of their limited vocabulary and selective hearing?
Exactly - plenty of Irish slaves picked cotton. Large numbers of Irish slaves picked sugar cane.
The proper response to culture bullies is to tell them to get stuffed.
Going too far. The intention is to beat Whites into submission and make them afraid to say anything, because they will lose their jobs if they say banana or watermelon. Or fried chicken.
But blacks who say cracker a$$ cracker are promoted.
The only cotton these guys have to pick is out of an aspirin bottle.
The phrase, ‘step and fetch,’ is also racist. A liberal told me so.
“Cotton Pickin’” is one of the alternatives professional broadcasters have trained themselves to use in place of dropping an F-bomb.
Guess the guy’s learned his lesson. Next time he’ll stick with the F-bomb.
“...The only cotton these guys have to pick is out of an aspirin bottle.....”
LMFAO!!! Now that right there, is the best “cotton-pickin’” post of the day.
BTW, I’m sick & tired of all their little micro-aggression BS. Anything to stir up racial shite. They can all take a flying F at a slow-rolling donut.
Speaking of which:
SAN FRANCISCO Google has apologized after its new Photos application identified black people as “gorillas.”
The perpetually outraged protected class are triggered by yet another dog whistle.
Jump down turn around!
Next we’ll have to ban the sale of watermelons from supermarkets because some black snowflake was offended. Boo hoo.
Plenty of whites picked cotton.
Tell the lib that he/she should have more respect for the first successful black movie actor:

I don’t pretend to understand the offense, but it was exactly because of this actor [whom I had never heard of] that the liberal said the phrase is racist. No doubt it makes sense to the leftist mindset, but I can’t go that deep into the murky levels of victimomology.
Btw, I have a friend who uses the phrase, ‘pickin’ high cotton,’ to describe being in a comfortable or desirable position. I assume leftists would pass out on the fainting couch and require smelling salts if they ever heard that one.
Media has to keep the race card alive it’s all they have to bad they don’t know it’s void due to over use.
